Because i am also using ENB, i renamed the ENB's D3D9.dll to D3D9s.dll and edit the line in enbseries.ini to the same name:EnableProxyLibrary=1InitProxyFunctions=1ProxyLibrary=d3d9S.dll Bu then i can't get the ENB work. What am i doing wrong here?

Might you try it with ProxyLibrary=D3D9s.dll

rename the d3d9.dll from antilag to d3d9s.dll in the enbseries.ini edit:[PROXY]EnableProxyLibrary=1InitProxyFunctions=1ProxyLibrary=d3d9s.dll copy d3d9.dll(enbseries),d3d9s.dll(antilag),enbseries.ini and antilag.cfg to your fsx folder

I'm thinking you renamed the wrong .dll. Switch it around, naming the d3d9s.dll to d3d9.dll and vice versa.

I have not used one of these frame limiter programs. But I did set frame limit to 29 inside FS9.1 and FSX. What is the advantage of frame limiter programs over the default one inside the sim?Can they cause "other" problems in the sim?

Apparently, FSX won't utilize multiple cores unless it's limiter is set very high, so you set it to unlimited, then use an external limiter to set your preference.

I have high end system 2 gtx 480 cards in sli, I use FPS limiter, i get 57 to 60 frames without but when landing i would get a glitch or 2 but with limiter everything is smooth. This is the way to go for a constant frame rate.

can someone provide a link to fps limiter 2?

Thanks for the information.I just started using FSXPMDGNG on a newer PC.Yesterday I used Process Explorer and seen FSX was up on several (of 8) cores but my FPS was 15.I shut down all shadows .. it went to 20 FPS.So, now I will try what you mentioned, "unlimited FPS" in the sim and use one of these limiters and see what happens. Thanks again.

Thanks Zach! I've been looking for this. I have ENB and Antilag running together on my system now.
I tried the instructions on the link i.e. renaming the D3D9.dll from enbseries to D3D9S.dll and adding the proxy info into the *.ini file but it failed to show the HDR effect in FSX. Is Antilag not more prone to black screen of death when using the menus/ Chris Ibbotson
Hi, That is not correct. Of course you can use both, the antilag and the ENB Series Mod at the same time. Works fine and looks good. I prefere the antilag instead of the Java FPS limiter because it works better at my system. The Java version has got some spikes in the frames and the antilag makes pretty constant FPS. Best regards Jonathan
Jonathan, I wasn't aware of workarounds regarding renaming the dll and modifying the ini file when I posted that as we all know you cannot have two files in the same folder with the same filename/extension. So far I haven't been able to get them both to work together. Fps Limited works well for me though I have to manually write a batch file as its JAR file ALWAYS opens Winrar and not its own GUI as it should. I have tried unassociating the *.jar file extension to no avail :-( Chris Ibbotson

I have before tried to use the Java-based FPS limiter but never got it to work OK so have since then simply set FPS in FSX and have been quite pleased with the result. With the NGX I get around 25-30 FPS on the ground with the systems running and up to about 50 FPS once up in the air. However I figured now that I read about this new limiter (antilag) that I should give it a try. Since I also use the enb mode and like it alot I followed the instructions for how to be able to use both these modules at the same time renaming the dll file and all worked perfect and best of all...I have never before had this SMOOTHNESS in FSX and especially not when flying an advanced a/c like the NGX. Thanks alot for both mentioning this great FPS limiter and for the link how to make it work with the enb mod !! Already thought I was in FSX heaven with the NGX combined with a TrackIR 5 but now I'm REALLY in FSX heaven :(
