Add-ons you would (or would not) recommend with the NGX.

Hi guys, I would like to know which add-ons you would and would not recommend for use with the NGX. Also please indicate the effect such add-ons on your frame rates. Thank you.

UTX USA or Europe, In my case enabling certain things has impact on my FPS like lighting ...etc.

Aerosoft LEMD Barajas, FPS killer. However I recommend REX & ASE these two make the whole experience better.

Same here pretty much...FSC9, REX, ASE, AES, FSCaptain or FSPassengers, Radar Contact, UT2, FlyTampa, FSDreamTeam. Nothing here adversely affects my frames except some of the airports. Everything lives in harmony with the current NGX, J41, 747 and MD11.

Best regards, fly safe!

You can also use Aivlasoft EFB but you wont have traffic displayed. YOu have to disable that option if you want to use that (unfortunately)

Seems like it, although I have not tried landing at PANC yet with UTX & GEX.... That may be a killer as well...G

I am getting good performance on a gaming laptop (ASUS G73) using UK2000 Bristol, Newcastle, Manchester WITH Horizon VFR scenery for all of England and Wales and REX weather (OR ASE weather, but I prefer REX weather) and Ultimate Traffic. Radar Contact 4 sometimes doesnt work as expected but might be due to something I am doing wrong. So playng easyjet / ryanair within the UK is pretty good.

I have REX, but use FEX most of the time. Found clouds to be more realistic and FPS friendly.
