Dave, you can't say that... I just learned I'm a "junior programmer with delusions of grandeur" as per Gerald's post above.Cheers,
Bryan ignore the critics, you made a lot of simmers very, very happy and your support is 'top drawer'.

Gerard, start your own post to make your propaganda.Disgusting. Bryan never insult you.
+1I thought this thread was about FS2Crew ? Gerald, start your own web site and advertise on that, I don't think you as a commercial member should be hijacking a thread about a different product. maybe you could start your own forum and call it smartarse.com.

Dave, you can't say that... I just learned I'm a "junior programmer with delusions of grandeur" as per Gerald's post above. You're the feeding the delusions, man LOL.gifLOL.gifGood news, as you all know, is that PMDG has announced that their SDK will be available next week.So you'll all have your FS2Crew very shortly. Not many sleeps left.Happy Thanksgiving all!Cheers,
You got my vote don't you worry, I'll be buying it and bragging up a storm as I always do with FS2Crew products!

We will just ask you to refrain from telling the other junior programmers, especially those who appear to suffer from delusions of grandeur. And no, we don’t hack your panel.cfg or aircraft.cfg files either.
Gerald, if I was ever thinking of looking into you product, your lack of respect for Bryan York while in his thread has persuaded me otherwise.I have enjoyed FS2Crew on many of my best aircraft sims. It is intuitive and immersive. It is a pleasure to use.I'm sure if Bryan wanted to make a product which operates similar to MCE, he would be quite capable of doing it, but it would have lowered the standard of the products that his customers expect from him and we wouldn't let him get away with that.Good luck with all your endeavors, but please be polite and promote your products in your own thread so you don't offend Bryan's customers.Thank you,Bob

Totally agree with FSXman. I was actually looking into your product Gerald, to see what it did different than FS2crew, but the way your above posts came out have ensured I will not be purchasing your product. People in an online forum should talk to each other as if they were talking in person; as a commercial member I'd expect business professionalism, not condescending mudslinging.

Just watch the video of MCE and it sounds like a bad 70's DJ. Think I'll stick with FS2Crew. Add to the fact the Bryan is always courteous and polite unlike some other developers.

Of all the posts I read following the “disagreement”, this one is the most balanced, and doesn’t reflect blind loyalty.Quote Good luck with all your endeavors, but please be polite and promote your products in your own thread so you don't offend Bryan's customers./end QuoteOn this very point, I must agree it was a mistake, and with hindsight when people asked me about MCE, I should have invited them to start another thread. Maybe because I thought this was after all a PMDG forum and didn’t see it as a major issue. I could also argue that the whole thread is against forum rules. If this thread was on FS2crew forum, I wouldn' t have posted anything there. But you are right on principle. You cannot win against the crowd. So no problem apologising here. The statement...Quote “We will just ask you to refrain from telling the other junior programmers, especially those who appear to suffer from delusions of grandeur”/end QuoteNowhere did I mention a name, just as the vicious statement that triggered it didn’t mention a company nameQuote However, I could do that, too, but I don't want to get on PMDG's bad side by violating the spirit of the EULA and possibly exposing myself and my loyal user base to undesired consequences, quite possibly even legal ones./end QuoteHere is someone on PMDG forum, without any kind of evidence whatsoever trying to put people off the other option by insinuating that without the SDK you would need to hack PMDG software. That he would be capable of doing it, but refrains from doing so out of respect for PMDG.While we can put up with names calling (smartarse.com, Disgusting) or whatever was said above, these are parts and parcels of forums, we cannot let untruth spread like that.We live in a free world, and everyone can draw his own conclusions.Happy Thanksgiving

After reading the above discussion and done a quick check on the MCE I have reached to the following conclusion:I am STAYING with FS2CREW... Over and out!

Gerald, no disrespect but from someone who has great dealings in customer service may I offer a suggestion. Stop posting now before you dig the hole deeper.A simple appology would have sufficed however you appologiesed and then continued defending your poorly worded previous point.

As the Op here, I respectfully ask you all to keep this thread in response to my opening post and not hijack it into a comparison with another developer? That is not why I posted here. I started this thread to make those aware who haven't tried FS2Crew's superb 'Voice Edition' and the value of it.Thank you.

Craig,There's no need for Gerald to apologize. Some of his comments were actually pretty funny and actually brought a smile to my face, like this one:

If ( ThisThingHappens ) (please let me know how I can do that via the SDK)PlayMyBeautifulSoundFile… then claim the Nobel Prize.
At any rate, FS2Crew wishes Gerald all the best.I admire and respect anyone who has the guts to develop and do business in the extraordinarily brutal world of the Flightsim addon industry, but his product has no impact on us whatsoever, so he can do and say whatever he likes. We simply don't care.At any rate, Robert has stated the SDK will be out next week. This means I can finish up FS2Crew for the NGX pronto. You should have your FS2Crew shortly. We've had to wait for PMDG to release the SDK because we need it to interface with the NGX.While there may or may not be alternative methods of interfacing with the NGX which PMDG may be perfectly okay with, FS2Crew's position is that we're sticking to the official SDK.PMDG is releasing an official SDK for a reason... and I've known Robert Randazzo for many years and I know how he works...Let's just say that this old Labrador Retriever isn't going to risk winding up in Robert's Dog House. That's not a dig at any other company in particular because we could care less what others do, that's just our position.Cheers,

.........And that respect Bryan is why we have lot's of respect for you and your products are (second to none) and so much better than anyone else's. You transformed the IFLY 737 for me as i know you will for the NGX. I will be one of the first to buy. ;)
