The Beta is Coming!

Featured Replies

Don't worry, Microsoft has operated betas before and they know how to choose people and run a beta program. And betas are not used to gather people's wants.
I worry a lot instead. It is enough to see the pathetic FSX ATC that even after 2 SPs failed to be even acceptable. This is just an example of MS quality and beta usage, internal or external it is.A beta is supposed to collect bugs and feedbacks I know that, I am deeply worried of how MS collects them due to the above mentioned example / reasons.Told that, FSX is still alive just thanks to hard core simmers and companies like PMDG, Aerosoft etc.... if it was not for these comapnies FSX would have been buried ages ago.I do not know why you play the MS advocate role, anyway I like to exchange opinions.

the ATC is acceptable .. use another word!

I assume you fly VFR only.Just make a jump into PMDG, Aerosoft forum accross the whole world, you would better shape the world simmers' opinion. If you do not trust me, try to follow FSX ATC, ehehe, you will crash each flight into a hill 52nm far from the airport. This is easy to reproduce.

absolutely not true .. i fly VFR and IFR all the time.

This is pure hyperbole... It's far from pathetic, but also removed from reality. It probably was the best possible outcome for the budget allowed for that part of the sim. For the vast majority of users, it would be perfectly adequate, just maybe not for the simmers who visit fora such as this one.

..and the default atc provides vectors for every published approach in the world! Still can't quite figure out how they did that one...

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Am I fallen in a MS fan club site ?C'mon guys, the FSX ATC is ridiculous even for a lawnmower man.

Let's see you come up with an atc that has every world wide approach-because I haven't seen another company that has been able to do it. The ones that add to fs atc utilize the base. No fan particularly-just balance.

Yes , the 3 main alternative to FSX non existent ATC are :1) VoxAtc2) Radar Contact3) Shut the FSX ATC offMs Flight will miss the ATC therefore no argument on this matter but if the quality checks of Flight will be like the ones of FSX we are definitely done.

And another positive note Talk%20to%20the%20Hand.gif Why do you state your opinions, assumptions and unfunded deductions as facts? Idea.gif Couldn't it be the Flight ATC system is improved over FSX?

Because after a whole year of videos and screenshots I have only seen Hawaian colored biplanes, so I can comment on what I see, not on what I hope to see.
That biplane isn't Hawaiian colored.
I meant a year of screenshots based on the very same background scenery. The very same 2 planes and the very same arcade shots. If you had spotted a single simulation aspect in the whole last year I would be glad to eat my hat.

Hey! where is Jim, have not see him posting today....did he get the beta testing job? Whistle.gif
