When the time is right, what transpired at the meeting will be known to all.Nothing more is known about the actual product than what was known a few days ago.You all need to govern your passions; they will be your undoing!

wrong .. what use is life without passion? I believe that passion is what holds you together.

Oh well, when financially astue investors take a close look the 'core' of the potentially buying public i.e Us; they will be quite dismayed to see a bunch of people driven by an unfathomable obsession of drinking tea and on occasion Dundee Cake, another noteworthy contrubutor who seems to be obsessed with posting images of his fishing exploits and women's behinds, another who just says ' Yuk Yuk, Yuk' despite his 20,000 posts and another (from the Netherlands) who is convinced that the next flag-ship simulator program is 'red and tastes like chicken'. Great !
Aren't we a silly bunch? :(
Well, what do you expect?Months of rampant speculation and innuendo, with a healthy dose of downright P & M (you figure the translation out) between posters, even leading to infighting with fans of a completely different platform... all over a product that NO ONE has ever even seen operatingin its entirety, save the upcoming beta testers. And what... you want everyone to respond like NASA scientists flight testing the replacement for the Space Shuttle?Whenever this enterprise comes to fruition, using whatever model MS chooses to operate their online operation, and when theyachieve the same number of online subscriptions as WoW, GTA, Call of Duty, Battlefield, or whatever other products are played online, then the Flight Simulation community will be considered a "mainstream" community.Until then, we're just an enthusiast hobby with an extremely innovative, vocal, passionate, arrogant, sarcastic, and argumentative membership. What else is new?

Passion mixed with thoughtfulness and discretion is part of what holds one together, in my humble opinion.Passion driven by misinformation, arrogance and ego does no one any good.

Of course, I am sure you worked out that my post was very tongue in cheek.

Passion is the path to the dark side of the force. To the Jedi, there is no passion, only serenity.

I am a Jedi, perhaps, I should lose some of my passion.

Well, maybe all will be revealed in January. But, in the meantime, speculation will continue to pass the time. So, what are the possibilities for Flight? Will it be an improved and optimized version of FSX?Or will it be a brand new version built from scratch? Will it be just a detailed Hawaii plus a few GA aircraft and some testing missions?Or will it embrace the whole world in high detail?Or will it embrace the whole world in low detail?Or will it be a base package based on a detailed Hawaii, upgradable to cover the whole world via high detail add-ons purchased via the Windows Store? Will it include jet aircraft?Or will jet aircraft only be available as add-ons purchased via the Windows Store? Will Flight be a pleasant surprise?Or will it be a huge disappointment which will send us scurrying back to FSX or FS9, whichever turns us on?

the answers you seek, the news in january will not bring. young jedi warrior.

You know I am amazed at the wealth of humour and wit on forums. This one is no different from all the others I susbscribe to.My view is a simple one, I am clearly a Jedi as I believe it will be ready when its ready, and also what will be will be.I suspect in this case I may not be an early adopter.Wycliffe

So even though you say "what will be will be", you do have an a priori opinion! We all do! You can't be a long-time simmer and not have an opinion on:
  1. What Flight will be, and
  2. What you hope Flight will be

(and the two are not necessarily the same).Cheers,- jahman.
