December 18, 201114 yr But it reads quite professional- not 'amateurish' at all. Good find Goran! Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556

December 18, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member Ya, it could have fooled me. The layout is enough to convince me that it's professional. Not to mention its objectivity.
December 18, 201114 yr I don´t know whether the pictures have been reworked but X-Plane looks somehow cartoonish. That´s what I only can say about X-Plane (I´ve never used it and I don´t wan´t to start another X-Plane vs. FSx riot.). It may be superior in terms of FDE but it´s look is just not right. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
December 18, 201114 yr Steffen,Don't rely on screenshots. Very few people know how to take good ones. Fly it for yourself, I'd be surprised if you didn't like it.
December 18, 201114 yr Uhm that's funny, 'cause I always regarded MSFS look as more cartoonish compared to X-Plane, MSFS colors often (not always) look more like paintings than real world images. To each his own! "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 18, 201114 yr "Technologetic" is a blog site created by "Toby" and "Sam", so while it is certainly a professionally done layout, are they true professionals? His other posts on the site, and indeed his review itself reveal that he is a Mac user. The lack of comparison to any other simulators other than XP9 is quite telling - while Toby has an interest in flight simulation, it may be that he has not experienced any other flavor of simulator, given his Apple inclinations. Going from solitary confinement to the general population is indeed an improvement!!! But you're still in jail. :)I'd be interested in seeing what a review from an actual flight simulation enthusiast site will look like - one where the reviewer has more experience with flight sims than a single lineage. Although I've already formed my own opinions based on the condition of the demonstration, I'll be interested to see if others share it.-Greg(Caveat: Yes, based on the review, I am assuming Toby has not used any other sims, or at least any other sims enough to make comparisons against them)
December 18, 201114 yr Author Commercial Member In saying that, Greg, isn't that a GOOD thing...to not have any base (such as FSX) to compare it to. It's supposed to be a review based on what it is...as a lone flight simulation platform. Not on what else is already out there. There have been many reviews done on XP9, that were not compared to FSX.Would you compare a Lambourghini to a Ferrari while reviewing one of them?
December 18, 201114 yr Don't dare compare a Ferrari to anything else :( "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

December 18, 201114 yr I'm not much of a wordsmith, but can't help wonder about where some of the terminology came from? I counted eight uses of plausible or implausible. How many people, who's initials are not A.M., use the term plausible on a regular basis? And of course we discover that the flight model is vastly superior, with no supporting information or links.Call me a cynic, but it is my opinion that there was probably a copy of the "professional review" sitting on other people's computer prior to the push of the "post to blog" button.Of course since it's a "professional review" it means much more than just being someone's opinion.
December 18, 201114 yr And of course we discover that the flight model is vastly superior, with no supporting information or links.Yes, it's "scientific."And the cities are "realistic" and you couldn't possibly want for anything more in the scenery. This is laid out in a professional review format and has some gestures toward professional review style but I'd hesitate to call it professional. It's more what we'd call in English "advertorial" - that is, a promotional piece in a journalistic style. Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
