Refund? BBJ? SDK for FS2Crew?

Featured Replies

LOL PR disaster? I fail to see one. Treating customers badly? They answer personal support issues one on one! They have given updates as to what's happening with the SDK. They seem to be trying to get past a legal hurdle, which I have no reason to fault them for. One can only imagine the complicated lawyer jargon that they are dealing with (not to mention the lawyers themselves) to be able to comply fully with everything. Have you read through the FAR/AIM book? If you have, then you understand how weirdly difficult this legal stuff can get, and that book is easy to comprehend compared to other laws/legal documents I've seen.FS2CREW isn't required to fly the NGX, and I have never bought fs2crew for any of my products. It is not a necessity. Even the NGX is not a necessity in the grand scheme of things.I haven't even bought the NGX because I don't have a computer to run it. But the way I've seen some people act in here, maybe I should complain about their product not being made to work on outdated hardware! Whaaaaaaa! Me Me Me!To all whiners and needless complainers, in the words of Monty Python in heavy French accent: I fart in your general direction!
Why would you fan the the flames on a subject that is just about run its course unless to just stir up bad feelings all over again? In a heavy English accent: May the wind be in tour face!

Just wanted to get my 2 cents in on the subject during a quick break at work. Didn't see that some posts were from yesterday. I kneel before you and ask for forgiveness.......pssh. If I want to comment on something that bothers me I can. At least I didn't bring up several years old threads

+101 because I agree with you, and another 9 because you quoted Monty Python. Strong work, my friend.

You, Sir, are Sense-of-Humor Approved! And for a lawyer, most all your posts in this forum have been very informative and reasonable. Thanks!

Nothing on the FSX market compares to the NGX. It is a bit annoying not having the option to use FS2CREW, but we bought the NGX not FS2CREW. The BBJ was never suppose to come out right away. This is by far the best add on I have ever had, I can't use any other plane on FSX.

Gents-There are a couple of things that I find amusing about these threads. (not many things- just a couple...) My points below are going to be a bit pointed- but that is because sometimes it is necessary to be pointed in order to get a point across. My apologies if this offends anyone:1) The presumption that there is a sinister reason why we are holding up the SDK. I would recommend that anyone who thinks we are holding up the SDK for nefarious reasons to please consider some counseling and medications to help alleviate these symptoms. As has been stated about 20 times since the NGX release: The SDK is being held by our legal counsel because of something ongoing that we need to protect ourselves against. (For those that would like some fodder for the conspiracy theories: There is an orginization currently testing the boundries of our EULA, and I fully anticipate we will wind up having to litigate them to protect our rights and the rights of our licensing partners. This has caused a top down review of our EULA and this takes time (And a TON of money.) When the EULA review is completed, the SDK will release.2) The presumption that I should continually repeat what I have already said or that somehow anyone is "due an explanaition upon demand:" The SDK will release when it is ready. I have no further information so I am not going to repeat myself like Rain-Man. The threads are here- please take a few moments to read them.3) For all of the rabble-rousers who would like throw darts at "Big Bad PMDG" is "screwing FS2Crew and Bryan York... (really... that is kinda funny, isn't it? As open and honest as we are with the community and there are still some who want to pretend that we're big and bad... it does make you laugh a bit. :( ): We've been working hand-in-glove with Bryan since, what, 2003? Bryan has a direct line of communication with us and even when we have disagreed- we find ways to make things work. In fact- Bryan is one of the primary motivators for us to create the SDK in the first place- and his feedback to us on the implementation has resulted in a number of improvements to the SDK already.... So please- if you want to throw darts about how we're hurting Bryan- please go sell crazy someplace else... We're all stocked up here.Now- for all of the rational folks in the conversation- you'll have read the following before: We're still waiting on some feedback- but I don't know precisely when we'll get it- which means I still don't have an ETA for this thing.... When I have more information- I'll pass it along.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM

You can find us at:  http://forum.pmdg.com

This whole "I want a refund" thing is really annoying. PMDG has delivered to its paying customers precisely what they are obligated to deliver: the NGX. None of us (correct me if I'm wrong) paid for the right to receive SDK. If you think you did, read the NGX EULA again. Look at your invoice. Something missing? Yes, the SDK, for one thing.
+1Just the other day a friend of mine complained about a "sickness" as he called it: many people are no longer thankful and happy for what they do have, they only look at what they don't have.Happy landings,Wijnand (EHBK)

what's FS2crew?(Sorry - Had to drop that in there)AVSIM forums (not just the NGX one) are very febrile, arent they? They seem to be poulated by a 50/40 split of "forum police" and people who's sole aim in life seems to be ragging on other people, with 10% left pushing the middle ground (PMDG sit here IMO). I've only participated in a few threads, and kept out of others simply because they are so angry and offensive. Grown-ups behaving like little kids. What is it about not being F2F that makes people write cra*p/offensive rubish and downright nonsense? And so much bullying! Not everyone has 5000+ hours and their own GA to play with. Not everyone knows what it takes to make this stuff work _properly_, and not everyone is an expert on everything!Grow up people! This sim is awesome. I have owned it since day one, and was a bit scared to take it out as I'm generally a multi-prop GA man, and thought I wouldn't have the time! One word: WOW :Party:I've now got an addiction to rival anything Nic-O-Teen can offer me, and I don't need FS2Crew, as this plane is so easy to fly!Going against the OP's original thoughts; I don't want a refund, and I couldn't care less about the SDK, I have a relationship to ruin, and some kids to ignore. Let me fly!
