Thomas,You are right about the wingdecals. I will fix it. I did darken the orange a little more after posting the pictures above. I cannot find any documentation to explain the wing decals and how to apply the correct aircraft code. The PDF that came with the paintkit does not cover it. I will probably end up uploading the livery without the wingdecals if I can't figure it out. I guess a lot of trial and error is in order to figure out the application. Thanks! Big%20Grin.gif
Since this was not replied to, let me do a quick writeup - in the file pmdg_737NGX_wingdecals you will find the default registration. You can alter and re-position your reg as desired. Note also, that the registration is also written in the alphachannel, which allows it to be actually displayed on the aircraft, and you will have to copy your registration to the alphachannel in similar fashion.

Hi Bob!I can probably work the current U.S. Airways paint in for a -600 since it's based off the same paintkit as that -700 I did. I have started the America West -700 bird. I just realized it has those light gray zig-zag lines on the rear fuselage. That will be the fun part at the base of the tail...lol. Saving that for the last step.I'm hoping to have the America West livery uploaded sometime this weekend. Then I'm doing the -600 Delta bird, followed by the -700 U.S. Airways Dark blue top. I might be able to whip out that -600 before the Delta bird since 90% of the work is done. Thanks for asking. That U.S. Airways livery that I uploaed (current red, white and blue) in a -700 was my most detailed work. The Allegheny bird while it looks okay...I'm not 100% happy with it, but it was fictional and I fought that anti-glare panel too much...lol. Depending on where you paint and what you paint, you find little nuances in the 3D model that don't normally show up if that area is a solid color. Those take the most time to refine. But you've gotta love the product! Great bird!

Steve, the quality of the US Air 700 is superb and I have it on a dedicated route between KPHL and KMIA daily. The 600 for me is the most fun to fly as I take it to small regional airports all over the world. Great fun and thanks again!Bob.. :)

Steve, Thank you sir for taking the time to repaint this US Airways planes and sharing them w/ the FS community. GREAT WORK!Gus

Gus

Gus,You're very welcome! I still have on my "to do" list the U.S. Airways red, white and blue livery that I did in both -700 models for a -600. I also will eventually get around to the U.S. Airways livery that is the all dark blue top version. The football/sports liveries mentioned above are something I probably will not entertain as those would tkae more time than I have right now.

Steve, Great job on the liveries. I especially like the Allegheny paint as that's who I started with in '79. When the Allegheny A319 pulls to the gate, I always joke that it's the cleanest Allegheny pane I've ever worked. Thanks again.

Mike,You're very welcome! I'm glad you like it. I might eventually make a pure Allegheny livery for prior to their merger with U.S. Airways. I'm trying to keep my livery list to a level where I don't feel obligated or pressed to get them done. While some liveries can be built in one evening. Others can take a week or more to do depending on the paint pattern and where it goes on the plane. Sometimes it takes a lot of constant small manual adjustments and reloading it into FSX to check and see if it lines up the way you want it. There are small nuances on the 3D model that you have to work around as they sometimes make the edges of colors shift and not look nice and straight or clean like that do in the paint program. That anti-glare panel on the Allegheny bird is an example. That U.S. Airways bird with the gray ribbons was a fairly quick paint up until the gray ribbons...lol.
