Hi all,Didn't really intend on starting a frazzle over spelling. I'm from Canada btw, and we do spell many words differently than out counterparts in the UK or even in the US, or elsewhere for that matter. . :-) My apologies for putting this in the 737 forum. I was reading Mr Randazzo's comments on Spc in the pin and he had mentioned at the end of it all about the 777 news coming at the end of the quarter and without thinking to heavily on it, I posted in the 737 forum. Hehe :( , this thread reminds me of the many times I've had the "how do I spell this again moment".I am also waiting for the Triple\Treble 7 .http://www.thefreedictionary.com/trebleAnyway, being born in another English speaking country, where we speak the "Queen's English".and having lived here in the USA for almost 2/3 of my life, I have had such moments very frequently,I just throw up hands and go with what I can remember at said moment.

I noticed that some words in the 737NGX have the UK spelling like "intialising" (on the start-up of the 737 in the green bar) rather than "initializing"; however the manual is written in US english. Was the 737 developed in the UK and the manuals written in the US?I too can't wait for the 777 either - however you spell it.

My guess it's probably due to the international\geographical makeup of the team.I sometimes freak out at the way I write and spell things but, I realize that it's all due to my background.English is the language that has barrrowed the most words from other languages.When I was a kid we knew then that there were already 750.000 words in the English languagehttp://wordinfo.info.../3925/ip:6/il:E these guys are way low on the number: that figure was whatwe learned about 1963. Who knows exactly what it is today?That B-777 is very high on my list: I would like for PMDG to release it today...

But there is a General Forum for anything that doesn't fit into the other forums (or 'fora' for those grammar/spelling ##### apparently here).Based on the way some people handle where they put posts in this forum, I'm glad some aren't real pilots:"Fire warning on Engine 1, boss!"'Ah crap! Better go check the smoke detector in the Lav!'(I'll admit that's a stretch, but for those of you who didn't catch that, ENG 1 fires should be handled by addressing the fire in the engine, and not the lav, because the fire is related to the engine. Similarly, if I'm going to make a post about the 777, it should go in the most appropriate forum, which is currently General. Is it really that hard to figure it out?
