February 28, 201214 yr Author Will it have night textures?I believe so, yes. February 29, 201214 yr Kudos to the crew at Mcphat for keeping it fun. Methinks if a pilot isn't happy with the color of the ship he doesn't have to to fly it. I for one am waiting for a payware package from them for the NGX. As a person who has attempted painting and had only marginal success with personal liveries I cannot fathom the time involved in creating the quality of product they achieve. The FS community is very small and innovation and product quality like McPhat is capable of producing is just not common. Daniel Fernandez
February 29, 201214 yr Correct me if I'm wrong, if the Facebook pictures are what they look like, doesn't this livery have night textures?
February 29, 201214 yr Well....I'll let you compare it with the pics of the ACTUAL factory version and let you pick out the differences. Still a nice livery.http://www.blogsouth...r-first-737-800 I think (and please don't crucify me upside down, anyone, this is just my HO) that mcphat studios is so obsessed with dirt.... Their 'factory' rendition of the SW livery looks so worn out compared to the real thing. Will it have night textures? If they promise to make it dirt free, like I believe the real one was, I'll like it x1000. I'd open a thousand FB profiles just to like it Chidiebere Anyahara
February 29, 201214 yr dear mcphat team, if you read this I want to ask you a simple question:how on gods earth can a brandnew aircraft and even still in the factory scheme/condition be dirty? how do you explain this?don't get me wrong, I love your work, you have some serious photoshop skills, but why do you have to make every paint so dirty?I can't believe there is anyone else who thinks the way I do! You couldn't have said it better, DarthOnce again, a VERY realistic rendition.I beg to disagree. There is nothing realistic about that livery. First off, The real factory unpainted ones look so new and sparkling, you'd believe it was already painted, but just needed to be repainted in the airline's own colors (if you doubt me, compare it with the real pics above). The McPhat one looks 100 years old. I don't think any company buys there NG and then starts using it up to the time it accumulates this kind of dirt and wear, without painting it. Before you know it, they'll be putting passengers on this thing.
February 29, 201214 yr Author Correct me if I'm wrong, if the Facebook pictures are what they look like, doesn't this livery have night textures?Looking at the pictures on their forums, yeah, they do. February 29, 201214 yr Guys the reason this factory plane has dirt on it is because its not as easy as pulling the dirt off, if you go look at the specular and bump maps they also have the dirt which affects shine, so its not as easy as 1 click to get the dirt off or I think they would have, the folks over at McPhat are not idiots -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
February 29, 201214 yr I guess by doing this, they are having a stab at another FSX 737 vendor :) Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry. February 29, 201214 yr If I wanted to be cute, I might have asked why an NG with a Southwest factory livery is flying in Europe. Judging by the yellow runway markings, this is nowhere in the US. My guess was Stockholm 01R departure at first because of the small body of water off of the runway. But the runway markings and jetways look like Oslo. All of the open water shots would have to have come from elsewhere. Anyway, I digress.hey bud, youre insight to painting planes is fantastic. you should work for southwest and manage all of their liveries Max PMDG 747X & 737NGX Pilot
February 29, 201214 yr Wow, it doesn't take an expert also, to realize that some of you are just a bunch of ungrateful people, who will nit-pick at every minor aspect of any product.Sad to say that 3/4 of you doing the ranting have never even given up actual money for a product, now you are being offered one for free you bicker at everything.Sorry in advance for any rants this may cause.
