March 5, 201214 yr Author Do those square miles count in the Aleutian Island chain? Imagine flying from Attu to Adak.. The thousands of smaller islands and ocean in between.

March 5, 201214 yr Let's see if they're gonna pop in some bundled shi^H^H^H goodies (aircrafts) along with the Alaska pack.
March 5, 201214 yr Woohoo, bush flying in Alaska! I wonder what planes will be available with Alaska? Cessna Caravan? Aviat Husky? Great news as it's my birthday today. 48, how the frick did that happen?1.2 million square miles for Alaska it says. So that would be 1200 x 1000 miles, a decent chunk of land! Might need some bigger, faster planes. Hmmmmm..... Edited March 5, 201214 yr by NismoRR

March 5, 201214 yr Thank you, Arwen - missed that part. It's good news, indeed. However, I got a feeling we'll be stuck with GA aircrafts for a while now. But it's going the right direction (initially, I've been on the "whats this arcade piece of ..." side).
March 5, 201214 yr Author I'm placing my bets on the PA-18 Piper Super Cub! The ultimate bush plane! :Peace:
March 5, 201214 yr Alaska is 663,268 sq mites according to Wikipedia. Something not quite right perhaps.Let me speculate wildly:Alaska has this nice area in the south-east that is extending it along the coast. With a lot of Canada north of it.Maybe MS has made a rectangular box into which ALL of Alaska fits and modeled it?From the Flight Credits:Incorporates GeoBase® Canadian DEM, Minister of Natural Resources Canada.
March 5, 201214 yr I wonder what the cost will be, I'm guessing somewhere in the region of $50-60. It's crucial MS get the pricing right or they risk killing their DLC market.Bryan.I'm thinking $20-$30. Similar to Hawaii.
March 5, 201214 yr Author I am seeing a trend towards scenic areas obviously for DLC. Hawaii.. Alaska.. Maybe next is California or Washington State.. Or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here.
March 5, 201214 yr :Hypnotized: You can also read the statement to include all the MS Flight scenery at 1.2 millon Sq miles, not just the Journey to Alaska expansion. Heck maybe it is Hawaii and the MS version of the Victor airways and Jet airways to Alaska plus the Journey Pack and then it might reach the 1.2 Million Sq miles number. :Hypnotized: :Nerd:One thing is for sure, it is a long way from HI to AK when you are inverted.Ray When Pigs Fly .
