Flight will cost a small fortune

Featured Replies

Hi all,My name is Ron and i am normally at the rex forums, but had to sign up here to view the alaska shots.Anyway i too like many others was not looking forward to Flight,But now i have tried it and i must say it is ok and i am wondering if the rest of the islands are worth it?Also with the announcement of alaska i was just starting to think about how much money this game will soak up if in indeed it takes off.At least with FSX we had all kinds of planes and the entire world for one price,Then later we could buy addons if we so disired. If all of north america is added a state and a province at a time this can get very costly.I was hoping that the landmass releases would be in much bigger chunks, even whole countries at a time, but i guess thats not going to happen. My 2 Cents.Funnelpond

It will cost a lot all in all, but if it will be more then FSX costed a lot of people...? A lot of people only fly above Orbx scenery. I am curious what the price will be for the upcoming MS Flight Alaska: then we will be able to see if MS Flight is indeed going to cost more then FSX did.

The good part of it is that you can buy only where you want to fly, no need to buy everything release by MS, same with 3PD addons...you just buy what ever you like from them.I have a feeling that I will like a lot of their release....

I would recommend You get the rest of Hawaii, it is great scenery plus missions, aerocaches, challenges, etc. Plus the Vans RV-6AFull Flight DLC cost? That is a million dollar question

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

FSX, for most of us who still fly it, cost's a LARGE fortune. I know many FSX pilots that have spent more then $1000 on just software. Not to mention 3x that on hardware.

Personally I feel that the "Hawaiian Adventure Pack" is worth $20, if you like Flight . . . and it does include the RV-6A, which is currently my favorite Flight aircraft.Alaska is a pretty BIG state, and the "Journey To Alaska Pack" is going to cover 1.2 million square miles, and include additional aircraft. No idea yet how much it will cost.

The rest of the islands are definitely worth it - mainly because a very nice RV6 is part of the package.

Huge point Alain.

I hope it doesnt cost more than the Hawaii pack, thats pretty much what i can afford and is willing to pay for it.

Now this will probably be seen as a very lame and obvious post, but Flight will only cost you that which you are willing to spend on it.

HelloEurope ?,Somehow I get the feeling we simmers over here are not on their radar.

I see it this way, if the xpacks are too expensive im just going to stick with FSX, i would never pay 30-40 $ for an xpack, thats just too much.

Hi mad dog!I'm from Canada so I "sort of" know how you feel. But, I am willing to bet that you'll see an addon pack for the Brittish Isles, long before you see a pack for the area I come from... Atlantic Canada! LOL!Don't loose hope just yet... it's early days right now brother!

You guys get out there and kick the tires for me please. Buy all the packs and planes etc. and then I will see by how the comments are going whether or not I want to wade into this....you know the definition of a boat....a hole in the water that you pour money into....somehow I think that's where this is going.I have already done this with FSX, spent over $1,000 on scenery, planes, and environment addons. I am not too kwel with doing this again.

I was wondering about the price point of where I would want to fly. I'd like all of North America for sure, but I'm not sure on the release scheme MS has in mind. The rest of the world would be a bonus, but might break the bank. If they provided a rough release schedule that would really help, but I doubt we'll see something like that anytime soon, or at all.
