Captain sim 737-200 Base pack has been released

Thanks Ron and Zach. Does it hold altitude and heading? I'm not so worried about approach modes as I like to hand fly anyways, but I do like alt/hdg capability for longer flights.Cheers,Pete
No heading select. Only a "wing leveler" which comes on with the aileron channel. I can't get altitude hold to work, but the elevator channel holds the pitch I was at when it was activated. So no, the autopilot does not work.

Some people have said that if you have key commands assigned for the standard autopilot functions, and use these with the CS 737 as it is right now, most AP modes will work fine, certainly Heading select (set commands for AP_Heading_Inc etc too).Worth a try.

I just installed .5 and it looks incredible. Only thing I'm not impressed with the framerate.Sitting on the deck at a medium airport (KFLL) in the VC with 30% airline traffic and 25% GA (my traffic x) averaging 25 FPS. In fair weather. I realize I'm probably in the minority regarding framerate as an issue, since it seems most people are content with 15 FPS. I am not. Also at 1920x1080 many gauges are impossible to read the numbers. This is in DX9 mode, haven't tried DX-bug preview mode yet.

Have to give them the benefit of the doubt, it likely still has debugging code in place and has not been optimized.

Landing at Orbx KSEA i see about 17~19fps which one of the most fps intensive area's on any payware scereny, this is with UT2 traffic at 50% GA and 50% Commercial, Rex clouds and real weather ( not a clear day ).i7-960@ 3.8ghz, GTX 470.. semi broken. Using FSX AA and AF as ive just upgraded the drivers and not set anything up yet.I do frame lock to 24fps so i can fly at high speed ( Mach 1ish ) very low to the ground so the ground textures can keep up better and i dont have to wait a week for the textures to catch up :)I am impressed with version 0.5 although for a beta its better than some other payware i have brought that was classed ready for release.

The FPS really depends on the computer. Personally I can't complain:fps.jpg

I´m a little confused as in the discount page there is this information:"- You are not obliged to use your €10 discount on the Step II release. You can save it for Step III (1.0) release."http://www.captainsi...7/discount.htmlI was saving to the 1.0 version. So why it´s the last chance to get the plane with discount? Anyway, i got it. Thanks for the update!

CoolP is the pdcs working for you ?

I'm not flying her so far, but I'm watching the progress with huge interest. That crowdsourcing concept seems to work, way better than I've expected to be honest.

You are reffering to a discount from buying STEP I release.I'm talking about another €10 discount from buying STEP II release. So if you buy the 737-200 before 1.0 your discount is going to be €10+€10=€20. That means you get the 737-200 for just 19.99.

Ahhh ... ok! Now i understand! I was thinking that there was only one €10 discount to use in any fase of the development. Thanks!

Okay..I am confused again..I know...I just can't read this entire thread again and I am a CPA in the stretch run of tax season (not enough sleep). Here is my situation: I purchased the original 737-100 exterior a few months ago for 10 Euros. Then, I purchased the .4 version for 20 Euros using the discount. Total purchase was $30 Euros. Since the 737-200 version .4 overwrote the 737-100, I now only have the 737-200 (version .6 as of today). Based on this thread, there is another 10 euro discount? I do apologize if I am misunderstanding something, I just want to make sure I understand what I need to. Am I eligible for another 10 euro discount? If so, would this apply to my purchase of the 737-100 since I no longer have this one? Thanks in advance for your help, and for putting up with me!Cheers, Pete
