More appropriate would be to show yourself as a Commercial Member and to ask anyone with issues to please take them to your support forum?

Then I regret to inform you are wrong. Thank you
Wow, just wow. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right".

I can completely understand that. It is not perfect, not even close. But I have been wanting a 732 for so long, that it is making me happy for the time being. I do look forward to what MilViz has in store. They have had the time to sit back, see what the other two did and then improve upon it. I hope they take advantage of that to the fullest.
Totally understand that. I was the same with the DC-6 .... had wanted one for sooo long. The Just Flight one came out; not perfect, but I am getting a huge amount of enjoyment out of it nonetheless. :(

That sounds good (no pun intended!). :(

Having returned from working in Wales and now firmly back at home, I got the CS base pack upgrade earlier (19.99 Euros no problem), installed okay and looks good. Currently downloading Take On Helicopter's shiny new Mil-24 Hind expansion at the moment, so FSX is a bit choppy because of that, but the CS 737-200 nevertheless runs nicely and looks good, even if it does look like someone has been thrashing the yoke with a motorcycle chain until all the paint came off it. CS artists really do love that rescued from the boneyard look, don't they?Al

I would really like to try out the CS732, it seems like it is getting there. I just can't allow myself to do that based on principle, I would need an apology from CS and that will probably never happen. You are right about their textures being very worn looking, but they are good at it.

And it is now what I would consider worth suggesting to those wanting to pre-order this product. The ".5" release took care of the game stoppers for me, so I'm happily flying it around now. Looks like Captain Sim will have a real winner here if this momentum continues! In the current state, I'm enjoying it.

Wow, just wow. Whatever happened to the "customer is always right".
One of the most abused, misused, and overused sayings in business. And especially on the internet where sometimes "the customer" is just a plain jackass.

Bud Estrada

I work in a customer service industry and when the customer pays your bills, they are indeed always right. Even when they really are not.

Todd Fleck

Brother, sometimes the customer is mistaken and needs to be corrected, for his own benefit and that of anyone else listening to or reading the conversation. Can someone tell us something about framerates? How are those looking? And how fast do the textures load when switching to the VC?

Bud Estrada

Perhaps, but it should at least be done with respect and dignity, and certainly not publicly.

The FPS are great. No impact. As for the rest: I think in this case it would behoove those representing the vendor to be courteous. Especially considering they've been active in this forum for a grand total of five days. Up until now we've never had any input from Captain Sim in the community. For what it's worth, this is a very active community. Not everything said will be liked by those representing the developer. That being the case, reacting to every negative comment in a way which --to some-- seems unprofessional seems a little counterproductive.

Some of those fixes on the bug list, how could they be released like that in the first place? Well anyway it looks like they are hard at work fixing things quickly, that's good. I'm still waiting for a 727 patch to fly the freighter with winglets, to fix the no sounds in the cockpit, and to not have to use a handful of user created tweaks just to get a more realistic fde. I'll buy their 737 when they release the cargo version if all the bugs are fixed.

It is not a finished product. Releasing it in beta form so that customers can fly it and report bugs is a great idea. The finished product can only be better as a result.

Great news on the FPS, thanks.Regarding the communication from the CS rep, let's remember English isn't everyone's native language and sometimes things appear less cordial than the way they are meant. For example if I were to correct someone in Russian I might come across rude by saying "You are wrong, you don't speak the truth" when all I'm trying to say is "You are mistaken".

How very right you are. I too work in a customer service-based industry. It's the customer, bad or good, one who smiles and says 'Thank you' as well as the gruff one who just walks away without a 'Thanks' because at the end of the day, bad or good, they make a purchase, and that is what pays the employee's salary.

Tell that to Goldman Sachs.IMO the customer is right when he/she acts reasonably, understands all the facts and has reasonable expectations regarding the goods and services provided. Pretending that they're always right even when they're wrong gives them unrealistic expectations. It's a bit like people who fly on Ryanair or Spirit on rock bottom fares and then complain of being nickel and dimed while at check-in. People needs to understand this is what they're paying for. It's a similar thing with Captainsim, when someone buy a beta product they're buying just that. Don't like it? Don't buy it.On another note, here are some 737-200 formation flying.
