LOL, even I am on some very serious pain medicine at this time, and I would never suggest such a thing!

How long does it take to cross Alaska with a Beaver ? 10 hours or 12 hours considering refuels ?Even if a Beaver pertains to Alaska I feel that is not enough to cover 1.200.00 square miles in a reasonable amount of time. A quicker one would be necessary too, at least a Dash 8 or an ATR.This just to avoid to feel like an ant having fun in a big commercial center.

The DHC-2 Beaver has a cruising speed of 143 mph, and a range of 455 miles. The main part of Alaska is about 800 miles wide, so you would only need to land once to refuel. In a Beaver, you should be able to cross the state in less than 6 hours. The Journey to Alaska Pack has ~600,000 square miles of scenery (the 1.2 million miles was an early error that was corrected on March 6th).

It's worth noting that there is nothing seperating Hawaii and Alaska except water !I think that we will be able to fly from one to the other in the next DLC so there must be a jet coming.Fred.

SR-71 Blackbird is also in the pipeline. The only confirmed "jet".

Uh-huh, keep rubbing it in.... My money is on a Goose.

I'd love to see a Goose (or a Mallard) but I'm betting that this one is a Murphy Moose. They're very common in Canada and Alaska. It's a taildragger with a 9-cylinder radial engine with a giant prop hub. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy_Moose- Gary Letona

The propeller cone looks too big to be a Beaver. It's probably a Goose. I hope we'll get an airliner with the Alaska DLC. Alaska is more than 20 times bigger than Hawaii, and should have given us something with a jet engine by then. And when can we expect to se the Blackbird? I've taken every Aerocache exept for that one.

Murphy Moose
Interesting aircraft. Never seen it before. But at that camera angle, you would see struts and wings im sure.

What's throwing me off with their picture is how thin and narrow the prop shaft looks.. It comes off like it's a two blade prop on some small single engine trainer.. Then you look at size of the spinner and engine and it throws you right back to where you began.. WTH is that? :LMAO:

I think the angle of the propeller in relation to the angle of the camera is giving it the effect of looking very narrow, in reality it may not be.... But I am not completely confident of that. I have been looking, but I haven't found anything that can shake my faith in it being a Goose.
