I don't buy the moral issue here. Plenty of great philanthropists in the world, this guy just isn't one of them.He does do stuff for charity to the extent of endorsing a charity or having them appear on Celebrity Apprentice, but I think he has only donated a few million dollars himself. It is his money so he can do with it what he wants.Even the millionaires that are philanthropists can't escape criticism because people may not agree with the causes they support. So it doesn't matter if you donate or not because someone will take issue to what you do regardless. Just a fact of life for the rich and famous. One thing for certain over the past thousands of years, there are rich people and there are poor people. We won't solve this one anytime soon. I fall in the humble existence side of life and quite content, so I couldn't care less what Donald Trump does with his money.Cheers

Nobody likes to hear this of course, but what we paid for our FS 757, might have saved a life in just the same way as what Donald paid for his real one might have saved a lot of lives. The only difference is one of scale, and not one of moral superiority.Al

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I am 40 years old now and have been buying Flight Simulator stuff since I was 12. I can't imagine how much money I have spent on this crazy hobby (as well as Flight School). So this is my indulgence.Probably if you factor my income and compare it to The Donald....His percentage of income spent on that 757 probably is about equal to the amount of money I spend on FSX.He has his 757 and I have mine. They are both costly relative to each of our incomes.Cheers

Good point about flight simulator expenses, except that I don't buy the "income proportional to income" theory postulated earlier -- the differences are miles apart. In addition, the differences in the two situations is for me, of course, the fact that I ALSO give a signficant portion of my income to charity, as well. It's not an either/or situation. And I'm not condemming DT personally, but I am suggesting that what my late father always said, and that I couldn't believe until getting laid off at the end of January for the first time in my life: that "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer". The rich obviously have been exposed to a lot of information and learning opportunities the rest of us haven't.Good point about flight simulator expenses, except that I don't buy the "income proportional to income" theory postulated earlier -- the differences are miles apart. "except that I don't buy the "income proportional to income" theory postulated earlier -- the differences are miles apart."Yea I will agree with that actually....Just thought it was a funny way of looking at it LOLMy 757 really isn't a big deal as it is just a bunch of code and cost me only $45 back in September 2009.I do give time and money to charity as well. In fact I have a big event this Monday Morning that I am taking part in for raising money for Childhood Cancer. Been in the plans for a while now. So I get to be in Breakfast Television this monday raising money for this event....This is National New Zealand Television folks...reaching an audience of what....maybe 1 million people...LOLIt will be a lot of fun.Cheers

I think you missed the point. The point is while I work to pay for my phone, other's are given hand outs and live better than I do. Did you also get a BMW for free? Because this guy was driving a 2008-2009 BMW... With food stamps... Get it?Middle-class America carries the weight of the country on it's shoulders.

I don't understand why some folks seem to think "gold plated" anything is particularly expensive. Oh, for sure the retail prices are high, but the actual cost of production is rediculously low...An 8oz bottle of 24kt gold plating brush solution is currently around $295, and will plate ~1200 sq inches to a "decorative thickness."For heavier duty plating, a gallon of 24kt gold immersion solution is around $2,295, and contains sufficient gold to cover ~ 3120 in2 area to a thickness of 10 micro-inches.

The most disturbing sight for me was when I would patrol around section 8 housing areas at work and see new and highly modified BMW's, Cadillac Escalades, Mercedes-Benz, etc in the parking lot. Another instance I'll never forget was when a bus load of Hurricane Katrina refugees pulled into a luxury shopping mall nearby where I lived after the government issued those debit cards to get survival items. Again, the image being portrayed just doesn't align with the objective. I would have expected to see that bus pulling into a Wal-Mart or Target or something. Last time I checked, a luxury outlet mall didn't have diapers, cooking items, etc.http://www.snopes.co...y/debitcard.asp

Most of the time they are in their position because they got themselves there. Work hard, make the connections and move up.
