Why would you need a 2D panel with a VC like that??? With no 2D in the NGX, don't hold your breath.

Guys I do not see why you hate 2d panels, but believe it or not, there are good reasons for 2d panels to exist.PMDG announced no 2d panels for T7 long time ago, I accepted that, but still Im very supportive for guys requesting it.We all should be very supportive for any kind of feature requested by other people, even if we do not have any benefit from that feature.

People who build their own cockpits want the 2D panels. The VC is useless for them.I don't see any reason not to have them, but it's PMDG's decision.

+1! I used to hate the VC, then along comes NGX and now I also don't really fly the 2D panels anymore, as the VC gives you so much more of a feeling of "being there!" Then of course, flying the 2D excludes the HUGS which I absolutely adoreWith regards to the 747, cannot wait for that one! I have thousands of hours on the original one, first FS9, then FSX, now the new one. I was hoping they would do that and the inclusion of the -8, I mean, get out of here! There was an year or 2 between this kind of previews and an actual release of the NGX. Remember? Do your math.I understand they will drag-n-drop the NGX displays and some code, but where's the cockpit itself (the hull)? Where is an exterior? A cabin? A lot of questions.

I've flown in more VC's on FS9 than you obviously realize - and i had the same problem in FS9 until I got a better computer. When I could actually use a VC I still didn't like it. The above applies to you, it is a personal preference and it is ignorant of you to tell somebody that their preference is right or wrong. That one's easy...You will find in life that we all have different tastes, I like Marmite you may not, I love strawberries but they make your face all bloated and freaky.It's called personal preference, some of us don't have to favour the type of simming you do, and get excited by imaginative development choices.However, as I said, given that it will be a PMDG offering and no doubt as gorgeous in terms of quality as the NGX, I will purchase. I dare say I will find time to go to sleep at my PC, or mow the lawn, or write a best selling novel while I wait hours for the 747 or 777 to reach the top of it's decent.

Well, You actually have to look at TQ only when you are setting TO trim. I think you can assign fuel cutoff levers, AT buttons and speedbrake lever at keyboard. So one glance in VC solve that issue.I prefer to work preflight and taxi in VC but as soon as I want to fly I have to switch in 2d. Taxing in VC is soo much easier as you can move your head and see where are you turning.

Don't use too much "Marmite" on your toast Martin, the only factory that makes it, was damaged in the CHC earthquakes, and won't be producing again until July.I cannot believe I have gone off topic talking about Marmite :( :(

lolol It is a great panel!I press Shift+A and position it to be zoomed in on the pedestal and only go to it when I need to trim the aircraft, pull out the spoilers and turn off the engines. Press A to go back to the panel. Since it is only the pedestal it works out ok, but I couldn't use the entire VC for a full flight.

Makes sense! The ingenious ways we enjoy our add-ons.

I'm very interested to see the On screen check-lists which should be in it. Also if they created a ''Dummy'' Com (Company) page so we could do things like Position Reports, CPDLC etc. Not that they would even do anything within the sim but there to fill out for the fun of it would be cool :Party:The Lighting I really can't wait to see, along with the complete VC! Although I have a picture made up in my head using what we have and the NGX Quality excites me.I loved the Terrain feature in the NGX so I can't wait to have it on the 777, I don't know about PMDG and Weather Radars. I believe they don't do them? Anyway not starting that conversation ha! The Synoptics Pages should like very nice! I could go on and on about what I'm excited for but I think I'll keep the rest to myself hehe!Now watch the rest of this Year drag on ha!
