Yes, thats all true. You can see also in Multiplayer. in the first weeks i met with about 8-10 people each evening. Now there are only 1-3 left.Someone should show this thread to the people responsible for MS Flight, so that they do something quickly. otherwise it will die.

Weird, I'm really from another world..... :-) I wish I could have played all of the missions, and catch all of the aerocaches :-( I am away from FLIGHT for a week, and all I can do is hope for a decent PC to run it....Well, I like it... It fuelled my simmer life ....

Now that is bad. I met with a full 16 last night, but I am selective, and drop groups until I find larger ones with excellent connections. Something about the flight servers, though. I notice that I rarely have bad connections and have wondered for a while if they are segregating locally and by connection speed, rather than throwing you in with anyone as some game servers do.I to often see the same names repeatedly, and that seems unlikely with true worldwide connection coverage, given the likely number of downloads.

Traditionally, the quickest way to alleviate DLC price shock has been sales on old content as additional DLC is introduced
Yep, I'll bet the Hawaii Adventure Pack's price drops the day Alaska is released. If a new aircraft with cargo/passenger capabilities similar to the Maule appears, but adds floats or something else new, it will hopefully take over the Maule's price-point and the Maule will drop as well.

@Mark II and Styckx:I can understand your point of view, although that's not the case with me. Would i love to have more scenery and different areas? Yes, of course. Do i want more planes and functional instruments? Sure i do and can't wait. But still, i am enjoying Flight every day and i am not bored. Maybe it's because i fly with my friend all the time, doing several jobs per evening while flying few hundred feet away from each other and talking on Skype. Kind of feels like we're real private pilots, chatting over radio while flying people to their destination :) I am aware of how many things are still missing, i'm aware of things that could be better or improved but it's been only a month. I am sure Flight will eventually evolve and give us more and more as time goes by. In the meantime, i am enjoying all the good things that Flight provides me with.People are just different and while some find it impossible or dull to fly without ATC or AI traffic, others like me, are loving Flight with all it's flaws and look forward to a bright future of our newly born baby sim :)Cheers

There's a lot that I like about Flight, but currently too many simulator aspects are not present, which makes Flight frustrating for me
I ask this more out of curiosity than anything, and don't mean it in a negative aspect in any way.Your view as stated above, seems to have changed over your view whilst beta testing the product. At that time you seem to express it had something to offer for boththe simmers and the gamers alike, unless I misinterpreted that which I easly could have. :smile:What has caused this change of view for Flight? The JH interview? Spending more time with it now in it's released state? More not being added so far since it's release?I hope for everyone that feels the same, and in some aspects I do as well - even though I am still enjoying the sim and so far have not got tired of it as some have, I hope that soon MS will start to add at least a little of what everyone is hoping for to rekindle the interest for those that are disappointed that there are no more simulator aspects present than there currently are...Anyway just curious...

That makes, at least, two of us :-)!!!!!!BTW: See my poor performance with FLIGHT and so few flights, by trying my gammer tag - "Von Queca". Maybe we can meet online one of these days!!!!! I wish I could have more time to play it :-(

My view hasn't really changed since I first tested the beta on Jan 5th. I stated the following in my very first post on the Flight Beta Discussion forum:"Flight is fun to play ... I’m honestly enjoying the game, but I just don't see it having any lasting appeal unless the released version is changed/improved dramatically. Most gamers would tire of this game in less than a week. And there's not enough simulator to appeal to most simmers (who are hoping Flight will be FSXI). I could be totally wrong, but I don't see anything that will entice a large number of either group to, not only stick with this game, but pay for the DLC."

Flight is very immersive, but it's #1 immersion-breaker for me is the dead world. Just having cars on the roads (even very simplified models, less detailed than the few static vehicles that exist) and a few boats moving on the water would do a lot to fix that. If their concern about AI aircraft is how to have them interact with players during take-off, landing and taxi activities, I'd accept just having AI planes in flight. It wouldn't be ideal, but would be better than what we have now and fairly simple to implement, as code for that is already in place for use in certain Missions and Clandestine Cargo jobs, assuming that code can be adapted/repurposed for higher-volume use. Then add some more static aircraft parked at airports and the world of Flight becomes much more convincing to me.

I have thought about that a bit (I think a lot!!) :Monkey:I wonder it there are some difficulty's syncing AI (not necessarily planes, but cars, boats and etc) in multi-player. I have been going over ways it could be done, but not necessarily smoothly, across up to 16 people.....Possible stutter-fest.The 3D nature and vast area coverage of Flight! might make it a scarey programming challenge........Or not!

No problem then - obviously I did not have access to the beta forums - this was just the impression I had in my mind from reading what you posted on the forums here then, and now...In any event, I do hope they add something to appeal more to the more serious flight simmers. I consider myself part of that group, and while I am still having some fun with it I too may end up feeling more that way as time goes on and the initial appeal starts to wear.

Well, I was under NDA at the time, and I didn't know exactly what the released version of Flight would be like . . . and I am a pretty optimistic person by nature. But Joshua Howard's comments have most definitely injured my optimism for Flight.

Most people have been using Flight since Feb 28/29 . . . 3 to 4 weeks. I've been using it since Jan 5th (and the DLC since Jan 11th) . . . 10 to 11 weeks. The newness has worn off, while my frustration has grown.

If I have one fault with flight! its that they played it too safe on the technology front. The originators of DirectX, with all the expertise at their disposal could have really wowed us as to what Microsoft was capable of, but they choose a quicker, easier cheaper route and stuck to DX9 (XboX, perhaps?) and modified FSX assets.Even the smoke coming out of the chimneys looks pre-FSX! And we have seen better clouds from fan based efforts. While many of Flights art assets are up to snuff, many others speak of corner cutting and perhaps a hasty launch. If anything bites them on the butt for me, that will be it. (and flatten those damn roads!!!) :Monkey:Lets face it, many many of us sight-see, especially in Hawaii, and even in FSX. If that was not the case, Orbx would not have been so wildly successful.Speaking of that, to bad they were not able to ink a deal with Obx, or we would all probably be slobbering over the release schedule right now, ATC and AI or not!!!

For non-interactive, non-collision ground traffic away from airfields, synching may not even be needed.Synching everything would probably require a dedicated server, either subscription-funded on Microsoft's end, or user-operated. Sadly, I just don't see MS providing the software to run dedicated Flight servers.

I have no doubt that Flight was designed with console limitations in mind. Expect a port, maybe not for the 360, but certainly for the next-gen Xbox... if Flight survives that long.
