April 4, 201214 yr ...It looks really nice! I'm liking the shadows on the fuse too. FSX is starting to grow on me. You FSX simmers should be flying my EMB paints this week. (I think I FINALLY figured out the bump maps and spectral lighting) :Whew: TONS of trial and error...I could never find anything out on the web that helped me....believe me I looked. Hey Jay, Hope you and yours are ok...we all dodged some serious tornados' here in Dallas today! (We were wheeling patients into the halls away from rooms with windows...and when we do that...you KNOW its serious!) Gary Hayes...I know the storms were heading your way in Tyler...sure hope you guys fared better than we did in Dallas! :Praying: Regards, Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here

April 4, 201214 yr Nice job Steve, I really like the Frontier. Is that a 600 or 700? For screen shots I crank up the scenery, terrain and weather at the expense of frame rate. I'm looking for stills so what the heck. Appreciate the art you put into your repaints. Rick Bertz
April 4, 201214 yr holy cow! the DLH one looks splendid RoyalSkies.CO.UK Youtube Vidz !My website will be back soon with new paints and videos! April 4, 201214 yr Is that a 600 or 700? That neither a 600 nor a 700. That´s no 737 at all. That´s an Embraer 170. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
April 5, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the comments Guys! I hope to get started on the 175s (Alitalia, USA Star, LOT) when I get all the 195s converted. Is that the wilco/feelthere erj 175 V2? Hey Luke, its actually the 195, but I'm planning on doing both 175/195s on the airlines that fly them both. My paint queue is pretty full right now, but all get to them all in time (I do actually fly from time to time, LOL). April 5, 201214 yr This is just what I've been looking for, awesome job Steve! Screens look great too. These are the Feelthere 175/195's right? Out of interest, are you doing a BA CityFlyer too?

Yeah that was some serious stuff yesterday. I live in Plano but work in Park Cities (Northwest HWY and Preston area) and couldn't believe my eyes when I left my desk when the sirens were blaring and the sky was turning a greenish hint of blue. Thank God it seems that there were no fatalities reported which is pretty amazing considering some of the damage in south Dallas and outlying areas. Hopefully we dont get another batch of storms like that for a long time. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

Hopefully we dont get another batch of storms like that for a long time. I hear ya cmpbellsju! I was in the hospital at Preston and George Bush (won't mention the name but you know it, hehe)....and we had a "Code Black" which tells the staff that a tornado is in the immediate area and we need to get the patient's in the hallways away from the windows! We had some nervous patients and families there for a while. FYI....some of the other codes at this facility....Code Pink, baby taken from the nursery without consent. Code Orange, hazmat situation. Code Brown...well...not what you'd think it was! :LMAO: Did you see that video WFAA kept running...showing the tractor-trailers flying through the air like toys? Pretty amazing that nobody was killed! These are the Feelthere 175/195's right? Out of interest, are you doing a BA CityFlyer too? Hey Will...yes for the FT 175/195. I imagine I'll be doing BA as well. Pretty popular airline. Thanks for taking the time Steve, they're appreciated. i look forward to their release :) My pleasure Spook (I really do like painting, its fun and rewarding, especially giving back to the hobby that's given me so much pleasure over the years). You should be flying at least the 195's in FSX by this weekend, maybe the 175s too. April 5, 201214 yr Moderator Steve, did you think to check FS-Developer for information on creating normal (aka: bump) maps and specular maps? I know I've posted quite a few mini-tutorials over the years there... Those are some very nicely done liveries! :Peace: Fr. I know I've posted quite a few mini-tutorials over the years there... Those are some very nicely done liveries! :Peace: Thanks Bill. I never thought to check there....just was Googling like crazy to find something I could use. :LMAO: I'll go look and check your tutorials out..but I think I've figured out what I needed for this model. However I'm always looking to improve my skills and knowledge. I've been doing it brute force trial and error, which, while a bit frustrating...gives you some major "Ah Ha" moments when you load the textures after making that last tweak and see the result you were FINALLY looking for! Hehe. Maybe you cover this in one of your tutorials...but I just learned that saving the bump map as DXT5 introduces some undesirable artifacts on the model. At least doing the conversion thru DXTBMP. I don't have Photoshop so I cant use the Nvidia plugin most other painters use for conversion. I would hesitate to upload my planes with 32bit bump maps...but with the mega-machines most flghtsimmers are running now-a-days, I don't see an issue with it. It runs fine on my machine, and totally clears up the artifacts. :) Thanks for the tip (and complement). April 5, 201214 yr Steve, All is well at the Ledford homestead, all we had was heavy rain. It did look bad there for a good while. Last year we had a hail storm that required a roof change. That's the price you pay for living in Texas! Looking fwd to the new paints...FSX isn't all that bad. LOL
