MS announces update to Flight

Featured Replies

I will be back too. However, I would be in "Heaven" if they added Force Feedback support. Microsoft can do it easily, because they literally invented it!

+1, but they never did it right in previous version of FS. There was this annoying delay in force response that makes your joystick making crazy jerking movements.

whats trackIR? do you need special equipment for it? I know people are happy it's not available

trackir is the equipment .. google for more info

ahhh! i want but I'd rather upgrade to a more powerful computer before I get that

It's less than I hoped for, yet more than I expected.

But it's enough to know they are listening. I'm officially "in" for Alaska now.

So.....giddy......dusting off TrackIR........

:) :) :)

You wont need to buy Alaska to get the update. Im sure the Alaska pack will come with its own set of features though that you can only get from the Alaska pack itself.

Understood. What I meant was, quickly implementing a non-trivial feature they had initially considered uninteresting except to a tiny minority is the first real indication that they actually are adapting to feedback.

Yes, it's logical to have assumed they would listen, but until now there was no hard evidence it was actually happening. Now it is clear. That gives me enough confidence in the future of Flight to comfortably put more money into it.

I believe Flight is the way to go if you're looking for potential. (I know FSX has even more potential, but its going to run out at one point...so does X-Plane)

I don't own TrackIR (yet) but I'm happy to see they addressed some multiplayer issues. It's good to see that they're chipping away at the wish list.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Very happy for the TrackIR users. And, yes, this has to be encouraging for everyone as finally we have some assurance that the devs are open to improving the game in line with user requests.

See guys... I told you... MS FLIGHT RULEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

This is all good news! Long may the updates come. Well done MS.

I renamed the topic to make it a bit more clear  and pinned it.

I like the update! Specially TrackIR!

Great news. For anyone who isn't using TrackIR, get it. It will improve your simming no end, guaranteed.

Having said that, I don't have rudder pedals / toe brakes. Any recommendations?
