Still can't believe you guys pay them just to test their buggy product.

Every beta test I've ever been in was free.

Of course, and that's how it should be. Captain Sim just wrap it up under something they like to call "Community Involvement Project" to detract from the fact people are paying barely any less than the cost of the NGX to fly something that won't be flyable for months and won't ever be fully completed.

Sorry but, after flying the NGX I can't fly their 777. I'm too use to PMDG's quality now, the only other Aircraft I can fly is the LDS 767. I want 100% realism and all the features of the real world 777 in mine as it's my favourite Aircraft of all. So that's why I choose PMDG. Plus I HATE Captain Sim's Customer Service.

By the way, I do have the CS 777 0.6, I only bought it because it was only 22GBP for me as I got the exterior last year.

Also, I get WORSE FPS in the CS 777 than the NGX. NGX I'm getting 25-30 which is perfect! Ryan says we should get MORE in the 777. Also CS's has got more laggy since coming out "Debug Mode".

I would rather call it prepayment. I just bought this buggy test release only to save 10 dollars. I installed it and found it to be too buggy to enjoy and haven't flown since, that was the first release anyway. Now all I have to do is to wait for 1.0 release, and when that comes I can just automatically download full flyable version for no further payment and have saved 10 dollars from regular price.

It is just like preorder offered by for example Black Box Simulations, CS just allows those who want it to also download unfinished product and fly it if they want to do so.

Has anyone forced you to buy the CS-777 ?

There are people who think the same about the PMDG customer service if you look on the IN.

BTW : I know that you are a PMDG man, which is fine, and are putting more posts on the PMDG 777 forum then all other people together..... :LMAO:

Now here's the funny thing, he hasn't bought it, so his comment is not worth a tin of fish.

It's called building up excitement and discussing the product with other people. What forums are for in case you forgot :P

Dear Sir,

I guess you don't have the Captain Sim 777 product. I am not sure what your motivation is in running down this product and the people who have committed to buying the product within the community involvement plan.

I have several Captain Sim products including the 777. I am a great fan of Captain Sim, the 777 is stunning. I chose to buy into this product before it was finished because I trust the developer, if I am a beta tester, I am actually pleased to be taking part in it's development. I knew and understood the software is still in development and it is up to me how I decide to spend my hard earned cash!

As far as the 777 goes, it looks stunning, I enjoy flying it. The gear now goes up and down and there is no longer any need to start your flight in KSEA. The wing flex is absolutely awesome, there is no stiffness in the wings at all!

I have no issues with poor performance with this airplane. I have a high end I7 2600K processor and an GTX 680 GPU. The animations and frame rates are silky smooth with light bloom and very high settings within FSX.

I understood the saving to be $20.00 for buying the plane under the CIP, I will re-check this on the Captain Sim web site.

Same song and dance every release with these guys.

Other developers do this crap too (Aerosoft, Blackbox). Finish your product before releasing it.

Pre-paying for a beta version is not that uncommon these days, it is a way to get the thing for less. I bought the beta of DCS A-10, Take on Helicopters, Mount and Blade and Guild Wars, and they've all turned out okay. Thus I would imagine that most of us who bought the CS 777 didn't do so because they wanted to pay for a beta, but rather that they wanted to pay less for it, and that was the way to do so.

The fact that you can involve yourself in the forums and the beta is, I suspect, a secondary consideration for most. I did post a few bugs on the first release, mostly pointing out typos and stuff, it took me five minutes and was not exactly a hardship, then I parked it up and will await the version 1, which will have cost me considerably less.

I want 100% realism and all the features of the real world 777 in mine as it's my favourite Aircraft of all. So that's why I choose PMDG.

In which case, you'll be in for a disappointment when you try turning the weather radar on.

Motivation? I just made a simple comment that I have never paid to test a beta product, and you all jumped on me like a pack of hyenas.

It just amazes me how fierce you guys are defending a company that sells unfinished products, because the 777 isn't the first.

I own the CS757 and it's still incomplete, but now they're making v5.0 that will cost even more money.

I don't have any motivation to tell the truth about the company, because the truth speaks for itself.

To each their own I guess. Some of you need to take a chill pill though.

Nope, you also wrote that you still couldn't believe that people paid to test the product. All most people have done is correct you in pointing out that they actually bought it largely to get it for less, and to await the finished article, rather than to test it for them.

Then I guess it's a difference of opinion, since some see it as buying it at a discount, and others see it as paying to beta test.
