August 7, 201213 yr Author Please could some kind person let us know where this fix is to be found? That error message drives me nuts!! Many thanks. It's in their FAQ. http://www.tasoftwar...c878&topic=78.0 Just scroll down to. When I'm showing large amounts of detail on the map, with lots of overlays, I keep getting script warning messages: "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. It helps a bit, but high detail settings may still cause the error, but way later. Kaan, lets not be too sceptical about it. Wait for the release and see the rest of the improvements on V3.
August 7, 201213 yr There are great improvements for sure, but this is a vfr planner. It needs terrain display, simple as that. Nothing to do with being skeptical, It will be useful but.. Anyway, let's just and see maybe it won't me missed. Btw, I thought the release was imminent. :P
August 7, 201213 yr I myself can't imagine Google making a big problem of Plan-G v2. I mean, when you look at how many people are using Google Maps everyday I think the amount of Plan-G users using the maps is something like 0,001%...? I think the problem has more to do with legal stuff: officially creating an addon that is dependant on Google Maps may be or become problematic. I think the usage of Plan-G v2 itself (specially when the official new version is v3 and it won't use Google Maps anymore) is no problem at all.
August 7, 201213 yr Unfortunate. A VFR flight-planner that doesn't show terrain relief isn't really a VFR flight-planner at all. Unless you live in Florida. Or Kansas. I guess I'll also be sticking with v2.
August 8, 201213 yr Dam sad news... flat maps that is.. Yeppers, like others have said... part of the fun is finding airports in the mountain areas, and planing a flight through that mess with a piston plane of your choice thats not Turbo Charged. Some really cool airports too... Make Eagle Vail (KEGE) looks like child's play. Like someone said... V2 is a bug compared to everyone else using G-maps. I wouldn't expect them to be tools like that (pulling the plug that is).
August 8, 201213 yr I've had gogle maps lock me out from downloading tiles into SBuilderX (resolves after a day "timeout"), same thing with a script that searches goggle images (allows a certain number of queries then locks me out for a day). scott s. .
August 13, 201213 yr I concur that without the relief map, it looks like losing a major asset, it's a real pity. I would gladly pay a few tens (euro) bucks and have V3 with a terrain map In the meanwhile, I will stick to V2 for the bush flying... August 13, 201213 yr Moderator One of the map options is for satellite imagery which provides a much better view of terrain. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
August 13, 201213 yr One of the map options is for satellite imagery which provides a much better view of terrain. It's the elevation contours that matter. The imagery itself isn't that important.

August 13, 201213 yr I was originally quite excited to see a v.3 was being released. But with no terrain mapping I may not bother to update. Sent from my cell phone using Tapatalk 2 "Sandy"
