Wow just wow.......PMDG look out! I have to say I am so so so impressed so far with this bird. It feels sooooo nice! Taking a first "shake down cruise" as we speak from KJAC-KSEA. All I have to say is holy cow this is money well spent...it is SO different from the other aircraft out there. Such a fun plane to fly so far, I can't wait until arrival.....

Enjoy....

Just half way on my first flight, after a few problems initially i'am finally in the air at last. Just doing the quick flight in the tutorial given. One thing i noticed is on the engine start up, is that the oil guages are indicating in the wrong order. Is that when i started engine 4 the number 2 oil guage was spooling up and when starting engine 3 number 4 oil guage was spooling instead of the respective eng/oil guages. I have to see if it happens again in the next engine start. So far very impressed with the aircraft going to be in the air more often now.

Makes sense. But maybe the UK2000 one also is an option. It's very current and Benjamin (Thralni) has compared them here. http://www.simflight.com/2012/05/27/articlereview-ultimate-city-london/ You have to scroll down quite a bit.

Sorry for being off topic though. Well, on topic when it comes to jet planes being able to fly to EGLC of course. ^_^

I've been a fan of all the UK2000 scenery for years. The extreme versions are some of the best too. Flies under the radar compared to FSDreamteam or Flytampa and others, but really high quality.

Thanks for the heads up and the great link. I'm mainly concerned with FPS in that area, so will probably stick to the Aerosoft version.

Thanks for weighing in.

At any rate, I feel it's quite on topic! --Figuring out where to fly this relatively rare bird!--

Same here. Haven't got the plane yet, but there would be the IGS Rw01 at LSZA Lugano, a 6.65° GS :O . A perfect match for that steep approach option. There's some scenery out from FlyLogic, sold by Aerosoft or Simmarket I think. But some freeware may also be available.

The following aircraft are certified for operating in and out of Lugano:

• Bombardier de Havilland Dash 8/Q Series

• Bombardier de Havilland Dash 7 Series

• BAe 146 / Avro RJ85 & RJ100

• BAe 4100 Jetstream

• Embraer 135

• Embraer 170

• Embraer 190

• A318 (special version for steep approaches)

..

• P180 (Piaggio Avanti)

..

I'd also strongly recommend the UK2000 EGLC. I have used both and I found the Aerosoft one is a lot worse on frames. Gary's looks much better too.

Do you have VFR London? How is it on the frames? Really bad?

I want to get that and the UK2000 London City Airport but am worried my frames will come crashing down

Awesome work Matt!

I got VFR London, and my frames drop a bit, but maybe that's also due to the proximity to EGLL and its traffic.Still, it's perfectly flyable for me(approx. 13-15fps), only sometimes it comes down to about 10.

Btw., I'd at least wait before buying UK2000 EGLC, because Aerosoft's version comes with VFR London as an optional install.

Cheers,

Yes I have, and excellent it is too. It's not exactly light on frames but it was almost unflyable until I followed some forum advice and de-activated the Aerosoft EGLC, which is included in the package, and was bringing the frames right down. Thereafter it was much better.

So I think VFR London with UK2000 EGLC is the best option.

I have to say too that UK2000 London City gives you quite a few of the neighbouring docklands buildings in Canary Wharf, including One Canada Square (the really big one!), so even without VFR London installed you get some excellent realism on approach or climb-out.

I agree, the UK2000 stuff that I have seen is at the same level as FSDT and FlyTampa. Very high quality. The UK2000 EGLL is certainly better than the Aerosoft one
