August 23, 201213 yr Wow, this is nice development! One of the reasons I fly mostly only in the US (well, other than ORBX scenery) is the open availability of VFR charts.

August 23, 201213 yr Commercial Member Im so excited for this. Time to dust off my 707 and do that transatlantic I have been wanting to do for so long... Noah Bryant
August 23, 201213 yr The rest of the world still doesn't have nearly the detail the US has, but it's still nice to have navaids, terrain elevation and such all laid out. Just wish more geographic features could be labeled. But I'm sure that kinda stuff is out of SkyVector's control.
August 24, 201213 yr I'm curious if they are based on actual data published by each countries aviation agencies, or they do it themselves. Alexis Mefano
August 24, 201213 yr Author I'm curious if they are based on actual data published by each countries aviation agencies, or they do it themselves. This is what I'm wondering... but so far this is much better than digging through individual charts at the AIS site... For you non-USers... do these charts look good enough, would it help you navigate? Could I plan an IFR route off this in UK or do I still need the AIS site for STARS and DP's? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 24, 201213 yr Sweet, I see they are adding weather layers too. Very nice for flight planning. Barry Friedman

So there are not SID STARs or Approach plates for anything outside of the USA? Are they planning on adding that?
