There 767 has been selling for years and is still one of the best addons in the MSFS franchise, that says a lot about how good they are.

Thank you Bob.

I was hoping that someone would stand up for Level D and how they helped set the bar so high that few fly over it, even today. Much obliged sir.

Kind regards,

It really is the best-I still fly it and it was pretty much my first add-on.

I don't see what you are claiming here... the only thing people don't seem to like is the fact the 757 has never showed up

I think you have missed the point. The 757 is not being done by a large dedicated team of folks, but a small cadre of dedicated hobbyist that do not work full time on development. Level D has stated along with the 757 there would be additional updates to the 767 also. All of this takes time when you have real world jobs.

Well, if your info is credible, then we should believe you. I also wished someone (or anyone) from this team (Level D) provide us with at least a mere glimpse of an update or some word. My only concern is that no one from Level D has said anything so far, then that leaves room for a huge "interrogation" ???

757 cockpit and systems have little differences from 767 one, but I guess flight dynamics and of course all 3d modeling would of course still take time to do...

I am pretty sure that Level D 767 has sold very well, maybe the issue with making the 757 is simply lack of time? Like mentioned Level D doesn't seem to be same kind of company as PMDG but more hobby based one, and I think that the developer who made LDS 767 didn't do it as a full time job but as a hobby. So probably time committed to making these products is very limited...

I have no idea if we will ever see LDS 757, but I greatly hope it would be released as 757 is my favorite aircraft and I have traveled in a 757 by far more than in any other aircraft type.

No, I think you missed the point. Nobody cares what the excuses are for the airplane not being released, it's the fact that it's been half a decade with barely any news about it.

Who cares? They don't owe you an update.

Randy Swofford

Randy that's my sentiments also. Some folks believe that are owed something. As proficient as PMDG poeple still ask them when when. It is what it is.

Bob

I've really enjoyed the LD767 and I hope Level-D can bring out a 757. But how they run their company is really up to them because if they don't produce anything new, they won't get money from their customers. Level-D doesn't owe us anything and nor should we demand something from them.

Can we please keep a civil attitude in this thread? It was running along nicely. Thank you.

Why do some people believe they are owed an explanation from developers?

Are they beating down the doors of their local car showroom when the glitzy prototypes they see in magazines fail to meet their expected production date?

The 757 is coming.
