FSDream Team gets my vote for KJFK. Its one of the best performing sceneries on my system.

 

ShezA, I'm really looking forward to the SunSkyJet Detroit Metro. It amazes me that none of the other top quality developers have done it (sorry Blueprint).

yeah i have FSDT JFK and it's great but it's rather frame heavy too

Yes, it's heavy on the frames, but that's more about the location (with EWR and LGA) as well as manhattan nearby. I find FSDT JFK have less impact on frames than the default JFK. Not too many scenaries that actually improve frames over the default one.

The KLGA update to latest techniques in FS9 and FSX (with new tower) is on my list of next projects. Current ongoing projects,

1. KONT FSX (my first FSX native scenery and almost done)

3. KCLE FSX/FS9 update for new ground etc.

Please don't forget your KPSP. Palm Springs... You already have the buildings an all that actually works in FSX. IT just needs ground/runway textures for FSX.

I love fsdreamteams KJFK my favorite airport very good frames rates with the right system as you know the area in new york city can be heavy in frame rates fsdt team has mentioned that they will do a JFK update with new ground textures and many other things the ground textures with the using the tech/techniques from fsdt's kdfw/klax ground shaders/textures which lessen the stress on the cpu. klax is big and so is kdfw and they run very very well due to the shaders and textures techniques, Im very excited for updated jfk but I have been enjoying very much the current version since its release! B) as for imaginesims klga not very good for fsx looking forwards towards Shez version when it comes out.

FSDT's KJFK surprissingly (because it is fairly big and complex) performs really good.

 

About Imaginesim, I generally have nothing good to say about them. I consider Imaginesim as poor addon vendors.... EXCEPT their KLGA. Imaginesim's KLGA is actually quite good. And the fact that it is enhanced by the Aerosoft's Manhattan cityscape make it even more delicious. Approach to rwy 13 coming from the Hundson and turning right to rwy 13 is one of my fav approaches. And Imaginesim's KLGA meets its challege and expectation quite nicely. I hope Imaginesim continues building quality addon airports.

 

My current setup, where I am ruinning into OOM issues, so far I have not had OOM with Aerosoft's Manhattan, Imaginesim's KLGA and FSDT's KJFK. The otehr day, I flew the CS 727 (not the NGX) from Fly Tampa's Boston to FSDT's KJFK (touch and go), then took the Huidson besides (Aeroso9ft's Manhattan) into rwy 13 of Imaginesim KLGA and I was bracing for OOM. but nothing,. I landed and was happy I had a complete flight.

 

If I remember right, I used to use Shez's KLGA for FS9. I never knew he had one for FSX.

Imaginesim's KLGA is actually quite good.

 

If you fly during the day, the scenery is fine. At night it is all downhill, updated or not updated.

And yes, I am foaming at the mouth to get my hands on SSJ's DTW.

I use Glenn Johnson's Photo Real KJFK, FSDT JFK is good, and as far as FPS is concerned overall pretty good, but it does suffer from a brief but annoying pause as you fly towards it or away from it. The Addon Manager options do help, but it's still there. Glenn's scenery looks almost as good, and performs as well, but is smoother then FSDT (IMHO) For KLGA I use Shez's version. Imaginesim KLGA is too hard on performance, and with the V2 update, I lose the Jetways!

Shez's La Guardia looks great but it also removes all the autogen in northern Queens, which seems like a huge and unnecessary immersion killer...has anyone found a way to prevent this from happening?
