September 29, 201213 yr I raised the issue of providing updates and expected release dates on the aerosoft forum and was told the company policy was to provide info to potential customers. It is a brave policy given the uncertainties involved with software development and the moaning from the behaviour of some that is equivalent to immature brats!!!! Craig
September 29, 201213 yr When someone is writing a post expressing frustration from the repeated and continuous delay of an add-on release, it doesn't mean that, he is not understanding the process of development or he is careless about others efforts trying to improve a product or underestimating the work load involved in the process ......it's all about broken promises that developers make and fail to fulfill, I was following the Extended release date and I remember that, in three weeks there was three promises of release and one of them has a day and Zulu time..... now the release is delayed because the forum admin or maybe the head of the development team is travelling to attend a conference....I really lost interest because I got somehow a feeling of disrespect from that attitude. If at day 1 they mentioned the release is 1st of Jan. next year it would be fine. We were earnestly telling you our release dates that we have set ourselves. Really, We tried for that date but... I don't see how we disrespected you but if you feel offended, on behalf of aerosoft, my apologies. We have our own internal dates now (as usual we will msot likely not meet it lol) but we will never share it. Again and I will say it again, there is no release date now. If we release it, it will just pop out of nowhere under the release section. Joshua C. WSSS

September 29, 201213 yr Alaar, I don't know what posts you have been reading but the comments from some on the Aerosoft forum and here on Avsim have been childish in the extreme. The behaviour is akin to how my 4 year old niece behaves when she can't get her own way. Joshua it was nice of you to extend an apology on behalf of Aerosoft but to my mind it's not needed. To my mind, Aerosoft have been upfront about what is happening with the development for which Mathijs deserves praise. I will get off my soap box now and go and pick up the toys and throw them back into the play pen  Craig

I think on this forum it will be pointless to bring dates, events and quote others as if we are investigating a crime. I guess, I am as others will have to wait until it's done and what I was saying above with about the definition / explanation of frustration to some and not necessarily applicable to you Sir. Alaa A. September 29, 201213 yr Alaar what i'm trying to achieve here is to put an end to the constant complaining about expected release dates.there were No promises made, yes dates were given which were not met.your right 3 dates were given ,but nowhere could i find a date and time with a promise of a release. I also couldn't speak here without making sure my facts were correct,so i did check as much as i could to make sure of it. It's nothing personal to you, just frustration with the nonstop criticism of aerosoft on most of the forums i visit.before you know it the Airbus EX will be released and we both can put our PMDG 737ngx in the Hangar for a while. take care steve-0 REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett

September 29, 201213 yr Patience, like many other attributes is key. However, at some point that gets trumped by delivery. Can Aerosoft deliver or not? Simply saying "give the developers time" to get it right doesn't mean anything. Duke Nukem was in development for 14 years and still didn't get it right. Ditto for many other programs. So when you step on the commercial stage as Aerosoft has, and you charge a premium price, all that matters is that that you deliver a good product within your announced timeframe. Everything else is an excuse.

September 29, 201213 yr Author what ever the developers are changing on the bus or adding onto it- is probably alot more than what we are expecting because it was suppose to be finished, and they said that it was going to be finshed a few weeks ago... but it looks like they decided to do some big changes and (or) improvements, which is why its taking this long.
