Hawker 800XP Just Flight

Featured Replies

Just released in I'm liking this little plane a lot, great vc, model, handling and sounds (tss).

BUT does anyone knows how to hide the yoke? I can't find it on the manuals.

Thanks,

Alexander Colka

Hmmm I'm a fan of bizjets... is this any good? Does the FMC take navigraph updates?

The EHSI and PFD look like gauges from the default Airbus though...

Hi Guys,

What's your overall view of this 125? And is it worth buying also does it come with a tutorial? And is the FMC able to be updated

Overall view? great. I can't comment much about FMC and systems right now, I'm still learning this thing, the vc is really great and so the model and sounds that are TSS by the way. For now the only thing I'm not liking much is the too green and opaque tinted cockpit glass but I guess this could be edited.

Cheers,

Alexander Colka

It's early days but my initial reaction on seeing the virtual cockpit is one of disappointment.

It's the sort of standard that we got used to some years ago with Wilco products but really the art work should be better in 2012 and there should be pop-ups for some of the gauges to improcve clarity.

It flies quite well although fuel flow seems rather meagre and the fuel pressure gauges appear to be static.

Some problems with the moving map display just freezing and the way it bounces as it moves around the airport is curious.

Sure it's a first version and will get better.

Shame the virtual cockpit's clarity and artwork lets it down.... 7/10

After another quick play I have observed that a number of gauges don't actually work eg the control positons shown on the Glass display.

Some of the overhead panel electrical indications seem odd but it may be that I'm missing something - the user manual is quite skimpy.

While inputting data into the FMS the whole thing froze again. Very much a beta product at this stage.

I don't know about Navigraph data but it comes with its own database and pre-loaded plans for many destinations besides allowing you to enter your own.

Can you confirm the EHSI and PFD are the default A321 gauges? They look like it from the pictures...

Also can anyone confirm FMC accepts Navigraph updates?

Well it seems to be another Aeroplane Heaven product, so not really 'high-end'. But for the price tag, it's fair. I'd have preferred it if they had left the winglets off - I hope it's an option from within the sim.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is not a fan of the winglets. I going to make the most of this one. While Fly! was lacking in a lot of areas, the 800 was my favorite. So now I can get it for FSX.

Hello Ryan,

No Navigraph on this one unfortunately, but the Hawker runs a Bgl analyser when it installs that indexes your scenery.cfg so it looks like it collects the data from your addon airports at least.

The FMC is fairly basic and the VC is not as good as we have come to expect.

I bought it because I will support anyone who releases a business jet as this is a much neglected area.

On the plus side it works with my Goflight MCP without any messing about

Any thoughts on the flight dynamics? Does it fly to the numbers?

Am tempted.

The EHSI, and PFD are indeed the default A321 gauges.

The FMC uses the GPS for Navigation, but seems to have its own file format you can save flight plans to.

I've been able to delete FMC waypoints en route, but I haven't yet been able to add any waypoints.

All in all it its a nice little product for the Lite to medium user who's not into the hardcore systems simulation etc.

IMO the asking price is fair considering the features and level of detail provided.

Regards.

Ernie.

Thanks for the info... I guess I'm still waiting for a "heavy" systems bizjet...

I find the EHSI and PFD are small and difficult to read. If I increase the VC to .9, I can read them, but then the rest of the panel fills the whole screen. I'm having some difficulty getting the autopilot to follow the FMC route, but I need to study the manual some more. Decent flight model from what I can tell. I'm not getting great fps numbers on my mid-range system, but it seems smooth enough at 19 fps.
