FSL A320

Featured Replies

Thanks!

They're probably getting it ready to showcase some photos, maybe even video, but now with Real Liveries instead of FSL paint. I don;'t think it's near release yet, they haven't showcased anything for months, that's not usually the way they do when a product is days or few months from release.

I wonder which gets released first - FSL or Extended ?

Is there an extended? :P

They're taking so long to release it i'm starting to forget about it again even after the A318 A319 A330 announcement... <_<

Who cares, the FSL will be the top tier one for the serious hardcore simmer.

I think the only concern, if any, with the timing of the release would be if it were at the same time as the PMDG 777.

Only because not everyone can afford both so it would be either/or.

I would also only consider FSL for this Airbus model anyway. If the standard of the Airbus is anything like the Concorde then it will be a big wow factor indeed. :P

Panting must take a long time

It depends on the energy reserves of each person. If I am on my road bike at 30mph for 10 mins uphill then I will pant for a long time when I get to the top so on that occasion your statement is valid.

Ahahahah good one! Forgetting one letter makes all the difference =p

Anyway, Can't wait to see this A320 in the colors of TAM, remembers me when I first saw the PSS A320 under the same colors, so beautiful.

For me, the joyous moment will be being able to fly British Airways routes on a true to life aircraft. As nice as it is flying a 737-800, I have that nagging going on in my head that this doesn't happen in real life!

+1 to that Mate!

Not going to be the cause of an argument here but does anyone else think FSLabs would deliberately hold off until at a month or two after Aerosoft Extended was released. Here are my reasons for thinking this.

Extended sales would/should not affect FSLab sales as most of us hard-core simmers know that the FSLabs version is going to be an instant classic.

On the other hand…..

FSLabs sales would crush Aerosoft sales if released at the same time, why would someone want to buy an aircraft less worthy of our money even if there is a slight price difference

Also…..

Aerosoft is a distributor and publisher of the boxed version “ FSLabs Concorde” I imagine it will be the same with the A32x.I doubt FSLabs will upset there colleagues over at Aerosoft by releasing it around the same time thus killing the Extended before she even really took off.

Later when the Extended sales have died off the FSLabs could be released and everyone is happy Simmers and Developers

P.S I know it sounds like I am slightly bashing Aerosoft but I’m really honestly not, I am a happy customer of theirs and will be for some time

I wondered about that but I don't know if they can wait for Aerosoft because we have absolutely no idea when the Extended is going to be released. Aerosoft has really swallowed its own toe in this instance. Personally I think whoever gets the product out first will steal the thunder. Especially if the FSL one is accessible enough that more casual users can still use it (I think Ronan's planned vids will help a lot here ;-)).

I don't think so. I think that serious simmers will buy both (even if they do it a month spaced apart). The reasons:

- different aircraft classes (long haul vs short/medium haul)

- and most important -> vastly different design and operation philosophy

And FSLabs cares about Aerosoft sales....why?

I Explained it. Aerosoft sells the boxed versions of FSLabs products or at least they have done for the Concorde.

Why hinder one of your vendors for the sake of a few months breathing room?

Aerosoft isn't doing a favor to FLS with that, they get profit of every sale.

I think the issue is just allowing enough time between released so they both get the attention they are due without one being overshadowed by the other. Just conjecture really. I think they will both be awesome products but I'm undecided as to whether or not I would buy both - it will depend on the timing of both of them. If the FSL one comes out tomorrow I would certainly buy it first.

Yeah its called business, sometimes you have to keep your vendors sweet tho.

Its not all cut throat survival of the fittest. You seem to think they are rivals, maybe your right, however they probably disagree or they wouldn’t be doing business at all together on any level

Both developers can win here thats all im saying
