On another note, also go get the MD-11.

 

It is an excellent aircraft, by all terms.

 

And (as the real world aircraft), systemwise, it is extremely Airbus-like (very increased automation, "smarter" aircraft, dark-cockpit philosophy, and a very Airbus-like FMC).

 

After this thread read it was down to the MD11 or the Leonardo MD80. I am going to go with the MD11. I need something long haul until the 777 is out.

Good choice Eric! The MD-11 is one of my all time favourite aircraft, there's no aircraft really like the MD-11 - it's pretty much a hybrid between a Boeing and an Airbus when you consider the systems and logic of the aircraft (i.e. the FMS is shockingly similar to an Airbus FMS, as is the way the overhead was intended to work). Also, the MD-11 is probably one of the most rewarding aircraft to land and takes quite a while to get right (especially if you're used to the NGX) because the aircraft has a tendency to bounce. Have fun!

Very good choice, I had exactly the same thought. Got a bit tired of the NGX, did not fancy the PMDG 747 as the V2 is coming. The MD-11 is awsome!

Thanks guys. I am actually looking forward to getting into the MD11 for some flights. Don't have access to the avsim library on my current device but am hoping there is a new DL (there newest one) one in there.

Back to FSL A320...

 

Are there any plans to include a HUD? I believe some A320's are so equipped, Customer option I believe.

Standard EIS2 aircraft - we'll look into the possibility of options at a later date.

So we moved the discussion away from FSL A320 to PMDG MD11... gotta love the forums.

Very important for those who don't like/or without TrackIR! the NGX is superb in that regard even the MCP is pop-up:able!

Yes, all the DU's have pop-up panels.

Are you on a lot of medication?...sorry I will say that again...Are you on a lot (A LOT)of MEDICATION?

Telling someone that they need to take lots of medication for posting the importance of appreciating the work of other developers, is totally unacceptable. I have noticed that this topic has an enormous amount of offensive posts which should NOT be tolerated. Ladies and Gentlemen- Boys and Girls:

 

If developing a Cessna or a Boeing is no joke, imagine an Airbus. If developing and Airbus were equally "easy" o easier, I can assure you FSL would have already come-out with their A-320. I have a great respect for those who do their very best and come as close as possible to their counterpart- Such as Aerosoft, PMDG, and a few others.

 

--- Now, having said this, I would like to assure anyone (and everyone), that bashing one product will not (WILL NOT) make the other product we are waiting on, better. Even the developers will laugh at such assumption. So, let's not fall into spreading false (and yes, childish) feedback about a certain product, hoping this will add pressure on the next developer- IT DOES NOT WORK!
