FSL A320

Featured Replies

Just to stir you up a bit more...

I'm 55, been simming since before many of you were born. Love Airbus.

But deleted Airbus extended within a few hours of installation.

There's no way any sensible person would expect such a product to compete with the FSL Airbus. The time, effort, talent, and technology thats gone into the FSL Airbus is phenomenal!

+1......not worth the space on my HD IMO!

Kind regards
R.G

If we can crank up the earpieces and remember what the conclusions are, we might ask one of the young fellows who push us around like Chase to do the honors,

Say what? My earpiece broke. Spank all ot them buggers Chase... Young whippersnappers. Beat 'em I say. You know, us old farts like the rod as opposed to the feather.. Whip 'em I say.

Indeed, especially Leonardo maddog is better than 737NGX as a system simulation, simulates hot starts, circuit breakers etc. Of course it's graphically not as good but so what?

I somewhat agree, but as far as I know, the only actual system simulation in the the maddog that is beyond the NGX are the circuit breakers. The engine stuff, such as hot starts and overheats are not present in the NGX because of the EEC system which prevents those problems. The NGX surpasses the maddog in the cosmetics and ease of use area, but the maddog does have shared cockpit and dispatch features. On the whole, I would say they are about evenly matched, but the NGX is far easier on fps.

The Maddog is awesome when it comes to features. It has stuff like the shared cockpit, a digital flight data recorder, working circuit breakers and it also has a control panel that lets a user (an instructor if you like) fail various systems of the plane over the network. So you could use it much like a line-style simulator with an instructor controlling the metasimulation. It's really, really cool!

There is more about maddog system simulation that is beyond the NGX, anti-ice system and weather radar for example. And system logic is the best. I am sure there is more, just give me a little time to wake up properly :Cuppa:

Maddog is not harder on fps than NGX on my system, if you have problem with that, look in the "manage&setup" - you can find there "performance tuning" section.

NGX use the largest amount of vitual memory(OOM risk)then any other fsx plane. Maddog is so smooth comparing to NGX, even at low fps you will not see the stutters. I don't know if that happens becouse of advanced NGX graphics, optimization metods, or something else. But don't tell me that is becouse of system complexity... B)

The only minus for the Maddog is that dial-up flaps are not modeled, but i can live with that.

I don't have Concorde X so i can't say anything about, but i belive that FSL will set new standards in flight simulation with new A320

So why did you buy it? You should've read the description...C'mon you're 55! You should've known better! Aerosoft NEVER advertised the Airbus X Extended as an in depth simulation. So stop bashing them! If you can't fly the Airbus then ask for assistance. Look dude in 10 years you're gonna have to go to Social Security (if you live in the USA) you're gonna have to ask for assistance, so basically what I'm saying is that you're old and should be wise, but in your case maybe not...

First, thanks lads for your support, thanks for defending me against the evil ageists out there. :good:

We should always look after our old codgers. Am I old at 55? I feel quite young, apart from the hemorrhoids, bad back, dodgy knees, under-active thyroid, and dodgy elbow. [An old bodybuilding injury] I forgot, I have a pot belly now too.

My response to the evil, ageist, bashing person. :cray:

Not bashing the product my friend, a subjective opinion No need for aggression simply because I have a different preference to you. Such a response is utterly unnecessary. If you love the product, then that's great, there's no way I would abuse you for your choices. So please allow me my choices and opinions.

We are all offering subjective feedback, on a product. NOT abusing the individuals providing that feedback. I would NEVER abuse you because you had a differing opinion on a product. That would be utterly immature.

And no sir, my desicion to uninstall the said product was nothing to do with systems complexity, or lack of research on my part. Hence, your preconceived notions are invalid.

What's suprisng is how fired up some people get if someone else has a different opinion. It's almost like they NEED others to agree in order to validate their choices.

P.S. Please don't call me "dude". You should refer to me as Mr [old fart] Martin W... and then add sir!

The verdict is in.

30 days suspension for the public insult against another member plus 15 days for a ridiculous excuse you sent me for a total of 45 days. It could have been far worse, and if it happens again, it will be.

Seriously, something like what you did is worse than you can imagine. The most important lessons you need don't come from an app, but from those that are wiser than you because they survived being so young and foolish.

Lesson One, when wrong and called on it, don't make up stories how your kid brother snuck onto your computer and did the posting. Since we are so old you should have realized that we weren't born yesterday.

Chase, please do the honors suspend him and keep your eyes on this member for awhile to make sure he has learned to respect what he may have a chance to become one day. There are lots of great young people here, so it would be good to see him come back and join them.

Kind regards,

Haha, I love the ol' "Somebody else was on my computer / facebook and posting as me" excuse.

I imagine that excuse shares about the same track record for success as "My dog ate my homework".

I can top that, my dog once posted a chat message on my sons facebook! :LMAO:

Course it didn't say anything legible, but still...

My copilots stand on my keyboard all the time. You can always recognize when they (the cats) are the originators of my messages and posts. They are total gibberish, but just look intelligent.

Yeah, that would have solved problems for a lot of us...

Sorry to, :t0152:

But the older folks around here definitely have more to give to the community than we can ever be grateful for, heck, you can even thank Tom right now for your existence, without people like him the United States wouldn't have been so well...United States-ish. Thanks for your service Tom.

My dog actually ate my facebook
