November 17, 201213 yr I agree - The "old" 747 is still nice system wise ect but you cant compare to something made for fs2004 then converted over.. You will not be happy if you pay the $55 now then in a few months later an all new 747 comes out! Just wait a few months or year for the new 747 then go down that path. I wouldn't be buying it now considering 747 V 2 has been announced. Brent Lewis
November 17, 201213 yr 2 nights ago I had a dream I was flying the 747. Couldn't help myself and bought it. Even though I was going to wait for the v2. I justified my purchase as a donation to PMDG for all the great work they do. It is outdated, and It isn't as intuitive to use clickspot wise as the later products, but does fly nice and im sure I will get enjoyment out of it. But it has completed my collection of PMDG FSX products, excluding the 747 expansions.
November 17, 201213 yr The 777 as of what will know should be released this or next month. I bet they've done a lot more on the 747 than we think. 777 is a perfect example of what they can do in a fairly short amount of time. Dude I bet they have done much more on the 777 they are telling us but they are buying time so next time they have an update/release the 777 (maybe?) they can have enough on the 747 v2 to tell us. Remember the year long hiatus where were waiting for an update on NGX and out pops the J41; no hype , no large announcements Flying Tigers Group
November 17, 201213 yr Author Right, so adding v2 to the wait list along with the 777, FSL A320, and TBM-850. Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)

Remember the year long hiatus where were waiting for an update on NGX and out pops the J41; no hype , no large announcements Did you just dude me, dude? :LMAO: .. Yeah I'll put money on the 777 is pretty much ready for release - do you blame them for not putting out photos of it once a month with hundreds of people asking for it to get released ha. I'd much rather get an update with maybe a couple photos letting us know it's either very close or here - than being tortured with videos months and months before; that'd drive me insane  - Luke Pabari
November 17, 201213 yr Go ahead, buy the 744x. This way, they can use your money to finish the 777, and the 744 v2 for us... ;-))))) Stéphane LI-THIAO-TE Envoyé de mon iPad à l'aide de Tapatalk HD Location : FMEE
November 17, 201213 yr Chris, I would go ahead and buy it now. Really, doubt if you will see the 747 in the next year, why waste time? It is a good plane, I fly it all the time on the long hauls. Check Amazon for the box version. JerryF
November 17, 201213 yr I'm in a similar situation, if the V2 is coming in a week to a month I can wait but I'm not sure if I can wait until the new year and I'm expecting that the price of the V2 could be double the current price. Anyone got any advice?
November 17, 201213 yr Anyone got any advice? If you can't wait, I'd buy the V1. I don't think we are going to see the V2 in a month let alone a week (I don't think they are that fast).. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
November 17, 201213 yr If you have other stuff in your hangar that could fill your time until v2, I'd just be patient and wait it out.
