December 3, 201213 yr I recently bought Stansted EGSS Extreme from SimMarket. Although their website stated that a registration key would be provided on download I was, instead, taken to UK2000's website for activation. I cannot find anything about UK2000's activation policy so would appreciate any user feedback regarding this. Are they "OK" in the same way as Flight1 is with their wrapper system? And, yes, I do know that UK2000 doesn't use a wrapper. Many thanks for any info. David
December 3, 201213 yr I'm not sure what you mean by OK... nonetheless, I have most of UK2000's airports and have never had a problem activating. Most of the newer airports have key codes that are always available from the "Your Products" button on the site's front page much like Simmarket. The initial activation, like Flight1, does require Internet access but doesn't require it after that. DJ
December 3, 201213 yr I would say that they aren't ok, they are brilliant. If you have any probs installing or activating, just ask in the forum and someone will help you out for sure. Gary's been around for ages, he's an FS hero. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
December 3, 201213 yr Should have gone direct to UK2000 they've got some offers on at the moment. Geoff Brown
December 3, 201213 yr David, I would echo the advice regarding direct contact. I am a beta tester for UK2000 products, and I wouldn't be involved with them if they were a "shady bunch". Gary is a great guy to get on with, and so are the rest of his team. We are always available to provide help should you need it. December 3, 201213 yr Vector, Gary has provided personal attention touch to technical support service for EACH user by answering his or her questions on products. Gary replies immediately to any question sent to UK2000. I am impressed by Gary. If you ask him, you will get answer fast OR if you post question on UK2000 forums, you will get answer fast. UK2000 is having holiday sale that calls for purchase of three airport sceneries for the price of two airport sceneries. Aharon
December 3, 201213 yr I agree with other posters. UK2000 is a first class outfit, producing first class airport and other sceneries. They provide excellent support and quite often Gary does this himself. Frankly, I don't know how he does it. Don't hesitate, David. Buy UK2000 and support a superb team! John John
December 3, 201213 yr Author Thanks, everyone, for your replies. I've owned every version of MSFS since it first came out and I purchased all of Gary's work for FS9 as it came out as well. What I don't have, though, is the Extreme series. I've always been a bit "twitchy" about activation codes but you have put my mind at rest as regards UK2000. I will now be adding all of the Extreme airports as my budget allows. David
December 3, 201213 yr This thread reads like a marketing ploy by the purveyors of UK2000 scenery! But I agree that Gary Summons is one of the best friends FS9 has ever had. With a slight caveat on the animation of vehicles, the sceneries are absolutely first rate also.
December 3, 201213 yr UK Extreme are so good that for the last few years I have bought all of their airports as soon as they were released without waiting for any reviews. They are in the top echelon of FS9 developers - in fact, in my opinion, UK Extreme together with Fly Tampa are THE standard setters for FS9 scenery. Although I have never had the need to seek support from Gary, I have no doubt that his support, as others have testified, would be of equally high standard to his scenery! Bill
December 4, 201213 yr top echelon Hey scianoir by coincidence thats an expression I just used in another post. I thought I was being brave using what is now an old term. Great minds think alike, eh? To vector ... you will not do better than UK2000 for UK airports, period
