Star Trek: Into Darkness (movie trailer)

This coming summer, there are actually a number of intriguing big budget sci-fi films in the wings. Here are two more.

They both look good......

As for Oblivion, I am not a Tom Cruise fan but I won't hold that against it. I'll go and see with an open mind. Olga Kurylenko is hot, lets hope Tom doesn't marry her next   .

Morgan Freeman is awesome so looks like a great cast overall. Joseph Kosinski has a lot of really interesting projects coming up so hopefully we see amazing things out of him

After Earth looks really cool. No one better then Will Smith to deliver a summer blockbuster. M. Night Shyamalan is a new director so we'll see what he can do (not sure how much directing these guys actually do anymore).

M Night is not a new director. Just hasn't made anything decent since Unbreakable.

Oh yea, that's right, I just IMDB'd him. Didn't see Unbreakable but I do remember the Sixth Sense (I can see dead people)

Shyamalan new....still laughing. He will be sad that you haven't heard of him, i guess it reflects where his career has gone the last 5-10 years.

Yeah he did a good job of wrecking his reputation. Killer plants will do that I reckon.

CAN WE PLEASE STOP WITH THE 'INCEPTION' HORN BLASTS! ARGHHHHH!

I never really bought into the new Trek franchise. I spent too long loving and learning from all the previous couple generations worth of films and television. This 'Star Trek' is not what I remembered. Never bought into Enterprise either though.

 Agreed!!

Anyway, the new Star Trek is looking fantastic. Does anyone think it's going to be based on Wrath of Khan like the rumors have suggested? The clip showing Spock's and Kirk's hands touching the glass is straight from TWoK so I'd say it's pretty much confirmed at this point. I'm not complaining about that though, it's clear from the trailer it'll be quite unique even if it does feature Khan Noonien Singh.

I think as others the main bad guy will be Garth of Izar. It makes the most since to me. Bringing back Khan in my opinion would be a mistake, too much to mess up.

And really, why wouldn't "Old Spock" have warned the Federation against certain existential threats: The Doomsday Machine, Gary Mitchell, Khan...... The Android planet, The Klingon home-world evacuation, The Dominion War, Genesis, The Borg........

Unless he immediately ran off somewhere to procreate like a bunny to rebuild the Vulcan race, and forgot such minor details.......

Actually knowing Spock I don't think he would, for fear of altering their time line too much and what not.

You forgot the biggest threat of them all. Tribbles.
