You could read the FCOM to them, until they are asleep.

That'd certainly put any child to sleep... ^_^

I can just see it now....

Once upon a time there was bleed air, the left and right pack and isolation valves. the packs must be turned off in order to start the engines which get bleed air from the apu. `

Dad I didnt know air bleeds.

More on the topic. If it comes out that soon, I'd be thankful for some reports, good and bad. I wasn't a fan of the old one, I admit, but the changes are looking really promising.

APU on a 737 uses like 80Kg of fuel per hour with packs off (about the same on an A320?), i doubt anyone would see the gauge move in 20 mins

Exactly my point. Unless you're going to sit on the ground for hours on end with the APU running, why would it matter if you can see fuel usage or not.

Random Flight Simmer, 2012

Guys, The issue of the APU not burning fuel is about realism and detail.

Im looking for a sim. All else is childs play to me.

Bigger issues are the fuel system not being accuratley simulated. Or the flight controls not drooping when the HYD are off..

This community already has a few half baked airbus's to purchase, so why bring another?

I dont care about the money, 10 or 100 bucks for a plane, dont care. What I do care about is spending hours setting stuff up, learning the plane, possible risk with my rig choking etc etc., just to find that I am flying around in a 2x4 with a good paintjob which fuelconsumption is a function like a ladder in an Excel sheet. I dont have any opinion about mentioned planes, I just dont take the risk, when people say that fuel consumption is and should be a negligeble detail, I am totally turned off.

But this is my personal taste, my taste is my taste, I dont care what other people like.

Nope, I presently only fly the NGX and my shopping list is:

1. PMDG 777

2. PMDG 747v2

3. PMDG J41

4. FSLabs Airbus

5. FSLabs Concorde

Will keep me busy and satisfied for the next 10 years ;)

Especially given that it may take 10 years just for the planes you mention to even be released, assuming they all do.

And I'm guessing that the developers DO care about money. Money, time, effort, expertise, manpower, etc, etc, etc. Most have a target demographic and for PMDG that may mean the hardcore systems simmer, for Aerosoft that may be the mid range enthusiast, and for some others (who shall remain nameless) are targeting the turn and burn folk. None are right or wrong, all cater to whom they feel are their audience.

We should all calm down. -_- Why not discuss wingflex? Wait. :O I mean weather radar. :Black Eye:

I came across this confirmation.. of an A330!

Great—my favorite Airbus! I hope they animate the gear tilt accurately, unlike CLS. . . .

Most of this has been addressed already, flight controls dropping and fuel burn. Plus, they're doing a SP1 afterwards with the remaining fixes or bugs that come up.
