I would strongly suggest you stay away from the 727. While the aircraft has great potential it is unfinished and requires many tweaks just to get it partially up to speed. Also, unless you have acceleration the A/P vertical speed control will not work.

On a more positive note -- is there anything you would Strongly RECOMMEND ?

I rather like the 707. A real classic. Simple enough that I can get it set up and ready to go relatively quickly, but at the same time the old style navigation can keep you busy throughout the flight. VORs, Doppler Nav, and INS nav.

I'm going to get the 737 classic for sure, as well as the C-130 and B-52. I've been waiting a long time for this sale.

Thanks,

Kevin L

C-130 and B-52

Make sure that you will be satisfied with a "fun-line" product. I purchased both last winter, and while the frame rates were good, the style of both aircraft did not really suit me. I didn't make more than a few flights with either. While the products seem decent (great visual model), it takes the correct type of flight simulator enthusiast to enjoy them fully.

C-130 flies like a dream. Sound, instruments, everything is just awesome. One of their best along with the 707 737 and 767.

The rest is below par/has several issues.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

767

The exterior model of the Captain Sim B767 looks extremely realistic (even when compared to the Level-D B767 in McPhat Studios repaints!), but I've heard about a few issues regarding general bugs and performance.

Performance wise, it's heavy on framerates if you have an older PC. Systems wise i'm flying with it right now (-200 model) and my only problem is accurate fuel calculation on the CDU. I know i have fuel for the huge leg i'm flying, but right now it says "0.0" on arrival. Up ahead it will catch up. Also, in some STARs it will fail to display the T/D icon on the ND, although it will respect it when it reaches the invisible point. This is version 1.5, the latest available and 1.6 is up next.

I guess LevelD has an overall more complete and accurate simulation, but it's so old and looks so bad compared to CS's (interior mostly) that i just can't fly it. But it also has its flaws... No descent forecast page on the CDU is one of them and i know there's more.

As for the sale, i was going to buy the B-52 but i decided against it... I'm kinda angry with them because they went into a new 777 project instead of finishing up their other ones before. Once they finish the rest i'll consider more products...

This will be a good time to pick up the 737 classic I guess. But I wonder, is it worth it?

PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD

I have the 727 and even though there are issues with it overall I am happy. The flight dynamics are unlike any other plane I have in FSX. I would recommend it and I am not a fan of CS having bought their C130 and been disappointed by it. The only real issues with the CS that annoy me is the sound issue which is fixed by restarting the flight as soon as it loads up at the gate. If there are other major issues I can't think of them right now; however, that may be because I have not flown it in a few months. There were a number of complaints with the engines not feeding fuel and starving in flight; however, in each instance that was because they did not understand the fuel feed method of the plane.

Personally I am thinking of picking up the 737-100 and -200.

I'm still tossed though, especially as I'm hoping Carenado will release the TBM-850 for Christmas...
