December 16, 201213 yr Author If u read thru his flightsimsoft forum or ask on there you'll probably get your question answered. He also stated the video shows only 5% of what it can really do. Either way this looks fantastic and also will go great for the AoA 737 training. Much more complete than any planner I've seen out there. Great feature list too. Just hope its a reasonable price. December 16, 201213 yr Well if you could exclude certain airspace then that'd certainly work for those who know the charges, but wouldn't take into account the balance between fuel and the extra distance required to avoid the airspace, so not totally what I was looking for, but I suppose if you got into that then you'd be looking at a professional flight planning utility. Regards, Ró. I also wonder if the autorouting takes into account real world daily Eurocontrol route restrictions. As you no doubt know well from actual experience, the most obvious or logical airways routing between two European airports is not always permitted, as certain airway segments may be restricted in terms of direction of flight, altitude etc... or may only be available to aircraft arriving or departing from certain airports. Those restrictions seem to change on a daily basis, or even hour-by-hour. Will be interesting to see if PFPX takes that into account. I see in the video that there is a button marked "PFPX server". I assume that at the very least, that is used to import real world winds aloft into the program from an external source, but I wonder what other functions are provided by the server? The program did seem to take quite a few moments to calculate the routing between EDDF and HESH... curious as to whether the autorouting is being done within the local system, or on an external server? If the latter, I hope that the external server has the bandwidth and processing power to handle the needs of hundreds or thousands of PFPX users once the program is released for sale. Very much looking forward to this release! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. December 16, 201213 yr Hi, Great looking software, one question... It appears near the end of the video that the flight was compiled via PFPX Server, does this mean that the program needs to be connected online in order to generate any flights?. Look at 10:00 minutes into the video (OFP) it states the following: PREPARED BY PFPX SERVER 15 DEC 2012 15:56 UTX I got burned once by PSS with online software, when they went belly up, so did all my PSS addons... I don't want to get burned again with software that requires an online connection in order to function.. Then again, it may be a server that operates on the local computer to interconnect PFPX to FSX, much like the one used in the Aivlasoft EFB. I guess we'll all know soon enough... December 16, 201213 yr Can it generate a flight plan that can be used by FSX (pln). Can it be imported into my PMDG 737ngx FMC? Thanks, Jim
December 16, 201213 yr Author Can it generate a flight plan that can be used by FSX (pln). Can it be imported into my PMDG 737ngx FMC? Thanks, Jim I have no doubt it will be able to use an FSX pln and import into anything PMDG, or else this would be a big negative. Pretty sure that would be incorporated. Since alot of people are raising questions, I thought I would post the features list, and perhaps it might allude to some of your concerns. Maybe not directly, but gives hints. (No I am not in any way affiliated with flightsimsoft. ) Just trying to help out to the questions. December 16, 201213 yr Those restrictions seem to change on a daily basis, or even hour-by-hour. Will be interesting to see if PFPX takes that into account. There is to be CFMU validation tool. I dont know if the planner can work this in automatically, but you can, in any case, plan a route, have Eurocontrol tell you what you need to change, and then work these restrictions in. --Peter Fabian
December 16, 201213 yr There is to be CFMU validation tool. I dont know if the planner can work this in automatically, but you can, in any case, plan a route, have Eurocontrol tell you what you need to change, and then work these restrictions in. I believe that the payware version of the routefinder web site applies the validation check. Don't know if I'd use it that much, since this IS a simulation. On the other hand, with a tool like PFPX why not go for "maximum reality" Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. December 17, 201213 yr Anyone know if this'll take airspace charges into account when calculating the routes? I asked on the other thread but didn't get an answer... Regards, Ró. you get one. January 22, 201313 yr Hi guys, I subscribe to the Angle of Attack 737 NGX training and in the first Flight Work lesson on Flight Preparation Chris goes into detail on PFPX. He says he only has a beta version that still has a few bugs but he says it's great for the NGX. Regards, Tom

Very similar to real world, and pages and pages of information. fuel planning, winds aloft etc. Very detailed. Maybe overwhelming for some at first. Look forward to its release. January 29, 201313 yr I cant seem to hear any sound on the video? there is indeed no sound. this is a classic insta buy for me!
January 29, 201313 yr This looks like FSBuild on steroids. Anyone ask yet if plans can be exported to say NGX format etc ??
February 11, 201313 yr Author Here is a video that goes into more in depth of the paperwork of PFPX including all the ETOPS information and weather charts. Pretty darn complete and sophisticated especially for flight simulation. Better order extra paper. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
