February 11, 201313 yr Author This looks like FSBuild on steroids. Anyone ask yet if plans can be exported to say NGX format etc ?? Yes I believe I saw in the top cat forums that it will export to a number of different aircraft. Cant wait to get this. Finally a well simulated flight plan dispatch planned. Seems close to real world from what I've seen from the DVD plane videos. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
February 11, 201313 yr Does still anybody believe this will ever see the light of day ? Announced for christmas 2011, in January 2012 still in beta but "release expected very soon", silence till April 2012 - "hey, we didn't abandon the project, release summer or fall 2012" ... silence ... in December 2012 the groundbreaking announcement "now we are really close, probably not gonna make christmas, but shortly after" ... February 2012 - still regularly sending out beta releases like they did in January 2012 ... Looking forward to their announcement in December 2013 - will it be "really very close", or maybe " really really incredibly close", or "closer than ever" ? Sorry for the sarcasm, but I am really frustrated about this whole story. Still, will certainly buy this on day one after release - I LOVE proper flight planning and PFPX just makes me drool - and drooling for over a year really is ugly  ---------------- Albert Martin
February 11, 201313 yr I've been hitting F5 since October 2011, but yet to give up. I just wish they could release a list of the supported aircrafts. Jarkko Puustinen (FSX live streamer, YouTuber) http://www.twitch.tv/virtualfreightdog http://www.youtube.com/user/VirtualFreightDog
February 11, 201313 yr Too bad topcatsim apparently has communication issues with Navigraph as it appears that Aerosoft nav updates will be the only way to update for now. February 11, 201313 yr Too bad topcatsim apparently has something against Navigraph as it appears that Aerosoft nav updates will be the only way to update. I thought i read in another thread it would support both. Does still anybody believe this will ever see the light of day ? While it's certainly being a long time in 'gestation', yes i am pretty sure it will see the light of day. The video looks pretty complete. To be honest i am a little disappointed in what i have seen, i was very much looking forward to the release but i can't see a compelling reason to move from FSCommander. Ian R Tyldesley
February 11, 201313 yr I'm not sure that Topcatsim has anything against Navigraph. It could just be a timing issue in either company. It is in Navigraphs interest to get as many people as possible to buy their "FMS-data"-upgrades as it is Topcatsims interest that as many people as possible to buy and use PFPX. So, as it is obvious synergy between the two, my guess is that this issue will be worked out. Unless someone is paying for exclusivity in some way. This has not often been the case as far as I know. Navigraph and Aerosoft offer data for the same platforms and has done so for years. I hope I am right
April 29, 201313 yr While it would be unfair to classify this as vaporware, this may be one of the longest rollouts in the history of flightsim software.
April 29, 201313 yr Well, they're on beta version 0.9.9.4b. That's the latest update from today. April 29, 201313 yr SKEWR, You're right. That one has taken so long that it isn't even on the radar screen anymore.
April 29, 201313 yr Author Seems they are striving for absolute 150% perfection which in my opinion is impossible. If its very close to it, its better to release it, and sort out whatever bugs remain with the hundreds or thousands that will be using this as they come in. Gosh the features most fsx simmers wont get that much into. The only bugs if any will be found from professional pilots themselves it seems. April 30, 201313 yr The main difference is that the certain B757 team haven't mentioned a release date and RCv5 development is officially on hold (announcement can be found here on Avsim). PFPX team informed in 2011 that PFPX will be relased in December 2011. To me there is a notable difference Jarkko Puustinen (FSX live streamer, YouTuber) http://www.twitch.tv/virtualfreightdog http://www.youtube.com/user/VirtualFreightDog
