January 1, 201313 yr Looks amazing, very pleased to see both the Air Canada Jazz and Porter liveries included. I wonder if the landing gear collapses if you fail to maintain the aircraft? By the way, does anyone here remember way back when Oleksiy released his first Dash 8-100? Nobody could figure out how to start it, everyone crashed when trying to takeoff and all we had was this sketched diagram of the inner complex workings of the aircraft systems.....good times! January 1, 201313 yr Looks fantastic, although the jury is still out as to whether I will get it or not !! G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
January 1, 201313 yr I'm really looking forward to getting this, but now that X-Plane 10 has released a 64bit version, I wish all of these real complex aircraft would aim versions for X-Plane 10 64bit, so OOM errors would not be an issue. quoting Oleksiy from Facebook : "our weather radar does not use the FSX clouds. Instead we analyze the weather report around the aircraft and at several hundreds weather stations around, and make the assumption about the reflectivity based on the beam geometry, the cloud layers heights, the types of clouds and the reported precipitation" the opinion that a weather radar is not feasable inside the FSX comes from a false idea that the weather depiction on the screen is directly related to the cloud coverage. The latter seems to be inaccessible in terms of variables and moreover limited to 80 nm. Our radar uses the same principles that a real one (reflectivity of water drops) and expands to the full range of 240 nm. Ha, ha...I always knew that PMDG was completely full of bologna with their conclusions about weather radar. If a program like Opus or REX could create weather around an aircraft, it only is simple logic that a gauge could be made to accurately read that weather....dah! PMDG simply just don't want to go through the trouble of doing the research into what all it would take to build one. The NGX is an outstanding aircraft (needless to point out), but they really subtract a lot of realism from it by not including a weather radar. Well, Majestic is obviously not willing to sacrifice an ounce of realism from their new Q400. Good for them! It is at the top of my list of next aircraft sims to have  Robert Yunque
January 1, 201313 yr I'm far from convinced about the weather radar, and I'm unsure why people on here are getting so hyped about it. our weather radar does not use the FSX clouds. Instead we analyze the weather report around the aircraft and at several hundreds weather stations around, and make the assumption about the reflectivity based on the beam geometry, the cloud layers heights, the types of clouds and the reported precipitation It's still guesswork, but of course, I may be surprised when I buy the product. January 1, 201313 yr Will the pro version be released at the same time as standard? Soarbywire - Avionics Engineering
January 1, 201313 yr Just amazing  I remember buying the -300 that they did back in 2005, and the sound and FDE was just out of this world. This one has the looks to match!
January 1, 201313 yr Wow, can't believe how exciting this year is gonna be for the FSX platform. The Majestic Q400 looks stunning! Gavin Price
January 1, 201313 yr Could this mean it is comming out tonight because this is out and there website is down. Joseph Vannelli
January 2, 201313 yr Author well they had stated they were making a new website for the Q400 release. So that's probably all that is, probably not released just yet.
