January 19, 201313 yr I have pretty much renamed this the 2012 "Interim Livery" since the new one was introduced recently. IMO this looks better than what they have introduced! Seeing as though they're practically based in Dallas Texas, this livery kind of represents where they're from...
January 19, 201313 yr Spec, your work is always appreciated. American Airlines marketing department, however.......
January 19, 201313 yr Here's an NGX in the livery: http://www.jetphotos....php?id=7541329 Pay careful attention to the blue stripes on the tail. I got excited when you said here's a NGX with the livery. Only to find out it was the NG. Chuck Biggins
January 19, 201313 yr I got excited when you said here's a NGX with the livery. Only to find out it was the NG. Yea, sorry, should have worded that better. A Boeing 737-800 (NG) in the livery, not a PMDG 737NGX in the livery. (Paint request!) January 19, 201313 yr I like it, I think it may take some time for others to get to like it ........................................
January 19, 201313 yr I would have preferred this. when I first saw this one I thought of Aeroflot. Gotta say I like the new livery. Looks pretty sharp on the QW757 screens floatin about. However i do like the 2012 interim i posted better as well.... Here's one of my first flights with the new livery....Its the QW757 repaint and i think it was posted pretty fast after the intro of the 2013 livery.....i have also downloaded a Posky 738 that i have yet to fly which is also in the 2013 AAL livery.
January 19, 201313 yr I'm sorry, am i the only one who thinks it looks great and not at al like Aerflot/AF or Cubana? -ANDY GREENFlight Diary Account : http://flightdiary.net/SpeedBird7735 Hours experience in Grob 115, 30 minutes in Grob 102 10 Hours in Grob 109 PLUS SOLO! 23rd November 2013!
January 19, 201313 yr Author The old Bare Metal was a classic, but I realise they can't keep it on the new aircraft such as 787 and maybe even A320. The fuselage of the new livery is classy, and that new logo looks good. First time I saw the tail was a bit of an "OMG" moment and I was well on the "put your new logo on the tail" bandwagon. here's an example of such an idea: http://farm9.staticf..._7d822af971.jpg However the more I look at the new tail, the less I hate it, and it certainly is a lot more iconic than just sticking their logo there. Red white and blue stripes, almost an actual American flag. But there's no "Stars" and stripes, just red and white stripes with a bit of blue and white stripes in the corner. There's detail in the red white and blue too, some shades of red inside the red stripes. Light blue graduating to dark blue in opposition. Here's an NGX in the livery: http://www.jetphotos....php?id=7541329 Pay careful attention to the blue stripes on the tail. The tail certainly leaves no doubt where the aircraft comes from. The first linked photo, the logo on the tail I like more than the one they decided to go with. I think the logo in the tail the way you showed it here, and moving perhaps the flag looking paint sheme currently on the tail should have been moved right behind the word "AMERICAN" would look even better. January 19, 201313 yr I think it is an attempt to make a lasting impression through annoyance. Every time I see that livery I will hear Gilbert Gottfried screaming "AFLAC!" silently. Now you will too. Rick Keller
January 19, 201313 yr Hey at least they took the AA.com off of the wingets. I always thought it looked bad putting your web site or phone number on the airplanes. I hope they leave the Astro Jet the way it is. Tom Landry
January 19, 201313 yr The whole thing is ugly. From the tail all the way to the Greyhound looking logo on the front.
