Well the Iranian fiberglass industry is in full tilt.

Why does this scream MOCKUP?!

Looks a bit small also.

I like the color.

Iran... strange place. Seeing that the US invaded Iraq for no good reason, why is Iran hell bent on giving them a real one?

Very strange place.

Iran... strange place.

Ever been there or just turned on the tube?

I can guarantee you that every country becomes a strange place if I adjust your reference frame a bit. Or just your perception.

It might help to differentiate between a country and a country's government by the way.

It doesn't appear to have any lach j-hooks for the canopy, which itself looks very flimsy and whats up with the drooping wing tips?

There's a chance that the mock-up was meant to be.. a mock-up.

Good point. Quite a few years ago Lockheed brought a mock-up of the F-35 to the open days of the Dutch air force, it also was quite obviously not a real plane. You'd think reverse engineering their Tomcats would be an easier place to start for Iran's aerospace industry though.

Right you are. Needless to say that the former F-14 deal adds a bit of history to the case and the Iranian role now. I'm glad that some folks are aware.

Watch the video. There's a guy sitting in the aircraft and it's wobbling!

I guess it doesn't have to do anything but sit there on display to achieve the stated goals. Not for attack, only for deterrence.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Good laugh for the day.

Is Iran serious? Are they really, serious? LOL

Note carefully the stock GA airspeed indicator. Probably has max 300 kias on the dial...
