Wow. And I thought night flying in X-Plane 10 couldn't get any better

Well done captain420. Looks like I need to get this.

The screenshot doesn't do it justice. I'm going to take more screenshots for you guys in a bit.

By the way, which aircraft is that and who makes it? Is it the 777 series worldliner?

Anyone know somewhere else where I can download this file? For some reason unknown to myself, I've been banned from the "borg" and my IP address blocked.

+1. I have been trying to get verified for over 3 weeks, not ever getting the validation email from them. An alternativie would be much appreciated.

It may be up to the author Chris K to have it available here. I did download it but not sure if it can be distributed via other means.

Have you checked the download section, it may very well be available here already.

Not a fan of x-plane but night flying is second to none - Amazing stuff. Wish fsx developers would take note.

Have you tried     ExperienceX  ...

Glad you guys are enjoying the lights.txt hack ;)

I pushed the file to x-pilot.com at the same time - their admins have to review each and every file before it goes live.. still waiting in the queue after 3 days. Check there if you dont have access to the other place...

Hmmm...

I actually like the default lighting better.  More realistic.  Even in large cities the lights are small and it can be quite difficult to locate a large airport if you approach from the side.  In real life you first see the beacon, then maybe locate the runway edge lights, but they really come into view on base to final.

These replacement files make the XP night seem more like FSX.
