Yeah, I can see why 'southern' and 'Alaska' never found that thread I guess. Thanks.

Maybe a Mod could fix the thread title a bit so search finds it better.

Man, this seems nicer than Orbx's Pacific Fjords. Will be on my 'to buy' list but I have way to much scenery of AK already that needs exploring.

YES!!! I love flying in Alaska!

Sold.

There are plenty of larger airports for those that are not strictly bush or MistyM lovers.  I have been cruising around in my CJ1+ checking out the static planes at different airports and I am still North of PANC.  ILS amd RNAV approaches galore.  Lots of new places to play with gorgeous views..

Looks great! Definitely on my wishlist

One of the best scenery. Especially for the folks who likes to fly on the pfj. It can give 100 hours of bush flying even 1000 hours of exploration

All this awesome talk makes me wish I would of bought this instead of Orbx Pacific Fjords, which I just got 3 weeks ago.

Are there any premiere airports in this huge addon? You know, where they really detailed the airport area like Tongass Fjords X did with 5 of their airports?

I own all ORBX full terrain packages, and I just added this to my collection.  They keep delivering the best looking scenery in FSX!

PFJ is awesome too and goes very well with TFX and SAK.

Juneau and Skagway are pretty detailed. Sure there are more........

As is usual for Orbx regions, all (or virtually all) of the airports in the region get an update from defaults.  With this release, the update seems to include some of the Orbx "flows" including people moving around and some flags flying in the breeze.  I've only visited 5 fields so far, but all have had something going on.

The upgrades include buildings from the Orbx and FSX libs and there are generally more structures and of a more appropriate type than you get with default FSX, but they're not exactly like the real airport.  For example, at Watson Lake, there's a small terminal and a largish hangar as there should be, but they're not the iconic log terminal and vintage hangar that are there IRL and you'd expect with a payware airport.  But the overall layout of the airport is there.

In other airport areas, there are local POI's included (eg, the Alaska Pipeline terminus at Valdez, the White Pass & Yukon train at Skagway...) so there are additional enhancements.

So far the region has met and exceeded my high expectations.

Alaska...meh

My thoughts exactly.

Then I bought it.  I just hope I'll work up some enthusiasm to fly it.

Alaska? Meh. I'm getting GSX and a few FSDreamteam airports instead.
