April 5, 201313 yr I've only been serious into FSX for about 1.5 years. In that time I've spent $1000s on addons and have every advanced FSX aircraft including all PMDGs, all Carenados, DC-9 by Coolsky, Avro by QW, Realair Dukes, all Captain Sims, Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0, Level-D, Feelthere embraers, Milviz, etc. The only really great ones I don't have are the Maddog and Concorde X. In my opinion the best, most enjoyable, all-in aircraft I own in FSX is: PMDG MD-11 I'm so tempted by the Maddog Md-80 but scared away by high price I guess.
April 5, 201313 yr Maddog, PMDG NGX and MD11. Don't ask me which is better. And don't be a scared with a price for Maddog, it's worth every cent! BTW, how is Coolsky DC-9 flight dynamics compared to PMDG aircrafts? Zeljko Budovic
April 5, 201313 yr "The best addon" Wow, that's a tough one! ... I too love the complex airliners, but I also love tasty immersive GA airplanes like RealAir and A2A, and the odd vintage job. If I was to pick my favourite overall add-on, taking into account quality, cost, how much I've used it, the enjoyment, etc, I'd probably surprise myself and not go for the NGX, or AXE, or Coolsky DC-9, and instead put my vote on :- PNG Bush Flying Combo ("Raw Grit" & "Extreme Bush Trekker" combo pack) by Pacific Island Simulations. The sheer size of this Papua New Guinea scenery, the number of airfields, the mesh, the textures, the ambiance at the airfields (including sounds)..... it's just perfect. As well as the quality, value for money, and ridiculously high amount of enjoyment I've had, I'd also say that you will not find a more gentlemanly, fair, respectful and honest bloke as Graham, who runs Pacific Island Simulation. .......and that's an important factor to me.
April 5, 201313 yr Author The Coolsky DC-9 has exceptional flight dynamics. it truly feels like flying for real...I love when you can feel the "heft" of the aircraft. It is a truly amazing package for the price. I bought it just to try and thought I would get it refunded but it's so good that I kept it. It's extremely realistic and easily the best thing since the NGX a couple years ago. A remarkable accomplishment in FSX!
April 5, 201313 yr Thanks, i was not sure about this becouse for example Maddog is a far better than coolsky super 80 and super 80 pro. Systems was good, visuals and flying characteristics not. I will give it a try, flight1 still have a good refund policy Zeljko Budovic
April 5, 201313 yr Author What's the difference between the Maddog standard (39.99) vs the 2010 Professional version (49.99)? I see they were released about the same time. Id rather go for the standard just based on price but what will I be missing?
April 5, 201313 yr Philip, You will miss different cockpit layouts. However, they only are represented in 2D...
April 5, 201313 yr My all time favorite is the Coolsky DC-9, but I also love the Super 80 Pro and the PMDG MD-11 for sure! Wybe Witteveen VATSIM S3 Controller | Dutch VACC
April 5, 201313 yr 1. Maddog Pro 2010 2. long space 3. PMDG's MD-11 4. PMDG's NGX at least for me... Maddog is worth every penny. Jan Betlach
April 5, 201313 yr Maddog Pro 2010 all the way...no doubt My Youtube Channel (P3D/FSX/X-Plane Videos and much more!)
