April 21, 201313 yr On my P3D installation the engine sounds left and right channels are reversed. Can someone else please check this? I also get the CTD when exiting the sim or selecting a new aircraft. I have not yet tried in legacy mode, and I expect doing so would solve the CTD as reported here. Thanks.

I just reload the migration tool and exiting P3D with this plane crashes P3D in Legacy or normal mode. I used to have this CTD issue with FSX. I must have been the way Majestic communicates with FSX. The crash was a stackhash error. Most likely due to a memory issue. Unfortunately I don't have FSX anymore to know if this issue also exists there. April 22, 201313 yr Reading the FSX forums shows this issue plagues them too :-/ There are also sound and ground steering problems mentioned here & there... April 22, 201313 yr Yup seems to be working fine for me too Lee, do you get any lagging stop/start motion when taxiing or moving on the runway? Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
April 22, 201313 yr Yup seems to be working fine for me too Lee, do you get any lagging stop/start motion when taxiing or moving on the runway? If I pause while taking off and taxiing it sort of lags, like it's catching up with its speed. Not really an issue for me though. The CTD when choosing the plane for a second time is annoying though. Especially if you jut changed the control axis. But it's hard for me to not like anything on this plane. Lee
April 23, 201313 yr Hi purchased ,installed using migration tool activated all good ,now running in legacy mode and all works fine ,and looking great in P3d, many thanks for the info peter

The CTD on exit is also a known issue in FSX. The plane is very well done. I have never liked the J41 (the plane is too ugly for my taste), so this is the turbo prop for me for short hops. May 3, 201313 yr I was going to wait until Majestic releases their P3D version of the Q400 to buy it, but was told in an email exchange with one of Majestic's development/support team members that they are waiting for Lockheed Martin to release their next version of P3D, citing mixed reviews from users of v1.4. That could be a long wait! Is that information true, Simeon? If not, why wait? v1.4 is smooth as silk and most former FSX users I have talked to made the change completely because P3D performs so much better! If Majestic is waiting for the next version of P3D, I might just buy the current Q400. But, what is this 'Legacy Mode' I am reading about? Will 'Legacy Mode' affect other add-ons adversely, like scenery add-ons or other aircraft? May 3, 201313 yr No reason why it wouldnt work in P3D. Its just wouldn't be currently supported as they have stated.
May 3, 201313 yr P3D isn't that much better performance wise, if anything for me it performs worse than my FSX install, P3D stutters more for me than FSX doesn't. It all depends on how much junk you have installed in your FSX install compared to your P3D install. I actually have much more installed in FSX and its still a smoother experience over all. P3D has been sat dormant for almost as long as my Xplane 10 install has and I haven't touched that since well before Christmas. I will admit that the lighting and default textures in P3D are far better than default FSX, but who uses just default FSX. Cheers, Andy.
