Featured Replies

I used migrator to get it to P3D and it has been rock solid.

It flies beautifully for me in P3dv2.1 as well. I was getting some major stutters when in the outside view. Switching the view to 'locked spot' instead of the default 'spot', fixed that issue, tout de suite.

Ok, so basically you use the migration tool to install the aircraft. I am also assuming that you leave your virtual FSX "enabled" so that you can use the Majestic configuration utility for cargo etc etc? I am asking because in 1.008 I am seeing some wierd turbulence effects, so I am trying to gauge how everybody else is using the aircraft. This is by far my favorite aircraft and I own A LOT of aircraft. Would love to get it working without any issues in P3d.

Yes, use migrator tool to install but do not leave FSX enabled. What wierd turbulence effects are you seeing? Are you using Opus weather or TrackIR?

Sim: P3Dv3

Thanks Todd, so I figured out that the rudder trim wasn't centered, as a matter of fact the the trim was full left every time I launched the sim, causing the aircraft to do some pretty wierd things. If I have FSX installed, and I do not leave the migrator enabled, will the majestic utility still work with the P3d aircraft?

The migratory can be closed and have legacy mode still enabled. It "tricks" the registry and creates an fsx.exe within a false fsx directory or the P3D directory. No performance hit. I've set it up so that the migrator automatically starts with windows with a batch file.

Installed this with the Migration tool. I'm having serious stutters. It works, just not very comfortable to fly

just wondering IF it would be compatible 100%, then why would Majestic not have given a p3dv2 installer..... I have also asked on FB, and don't want to bother the developers to much. But I am really missing a Pmdg or Majestic quality plane in p3d. Also the Airbus extended has not been ported over yet.

It's not and they have made that quite clear. Syonco, thats the same thing many are experiencing.

For what its worth it works flawlessly for me in v2.1 Don't think I did anything special except turning off the mipmaps.

I may have to finally budge and grab this one.

Somehow I had missed the hint about turning off the cockpit mipmaps... Now that I've done that, all the cockpit MFD's operate as they should, yay! Now I can get to actually flying this aircraft.

As I mentioned before, I own a lot of aircraft and this one is my favorite by far. PMDG was hard to match in terms of fidelity and quality, but majestic has done it. Just a fantastic piece of software. I am ready for them to release a P3d version...

Ok guys, to further ease the tension of "why and why not".  We are planning on developing/releasing a P3D v2x installer, however the completion of the PRO/TRAINING Editions are priority at the moment.  We have done, and are doing some tests on the P3D platform as new systems/features are implemented or when users report specific issues experienced within P3D v2x.

So in short...... While we have offered not to charge for the PILOT and PRO transition over to P3D, the downside is it will be some time before it is actually released.

As always, we thank you all for your continued support and enthusiasm.

I really want to thank you and developers with this point of view, I hope that the expansion into the Prepar3d platform will allow you and other to develop high quality and high fidelity airliners which are used as training aids but still allow those of us who are engaged in learning and training on a personal level to still use the sim and your addons.

P3D has some growing to do and it seems if set up correctly the aircraft works beautifully and support can be had from the community as we learn and train together.

From my point of view, LM must love us. Why you ask, because we are the folks who are highly passionate about aviation and we are able to provide a different view of the sim to help them improve upon a product which helps them grow their training business. In turn we are able to use this tool for our personal education and training at a reduced cost. Its a win win in my book.

Thank you Majestic, Wes, Tom & the Avsim crew for their continued support of a simulation platform that has the potential to grow and grow big.

Tom
