Usually all commercial scenery will reside in their respective folders, but be careful with this folder:

Flight Simulator X/Scenery/Global/scenery

Sometimes there will be an additional file in here that relates to the airport altitude, it's important not to touch those IF they're from the scenery developer. As an example, both KPHX and KSFO have a file in there named "KSFO_alt.bgl" , "KPHX_alt.bgl"

I have both Flightbeam KSFO and KPHX but i don't see any of those files in my Flight Simulator X/Scenery/Global/scenery folder?

Additional info: My 'Flight Simulator X/Flightbeam/KPHX/Scenery' folder only has kphx.BGL and kphx_CVX.bgl, so they are not hiding there.

I'm quite new to AFCAD's (never downloaded/installed any myself), so maybe i just don't understand what you are saying.

Bob, I'm not sure about AES, but GSX is natively included in this airport.  I love GSX ... good for all airports, buy once and forget it.

I like GSX too, but AES does things GSX does not, most importantly custom and properly-animated jetways that don't sink into the ground or come into the aircraft at bizarre angles, and custom pushbacks from every parking spot that do not push you onto grass, into buildings etc.

Agreed, GSX will never be a standalone product until they get movable jetways like AES. The default method that GSX uses now looks like crap with the wheels sinking into the ground, jerky movement, etc...

I am salivating over this one.  It looks very complete, clean and full of eye candy.  I have flown out of IAD a couple of times and I only live about 10 miles or so from it.  Have to grab it, thanks guys!!

Hi:

Not sure if I should rename these to bak as I am using mytraffic x light and does not have its own folder, it just places a bgl file in the addon scenery folder - also [bR2_KIAD_KA_OBJ.BGL] & [KIAD TOWER WITH STROBE EFFECT.BGL] are not on my hard drive

Instead of bak rename should I just delete them ? - screenshot shows 2 of the 2 files you mention and where they are, thank you so much

You'll need to rename all those KIAD files to ".bak" , it will effectively turn them off. Deleting them will do the same thing, but you wont have a backup of them.

Must say this airport does look very very good.

Roll on next thursday (pay day) and i shall take BA217 for a spin to KIAD, hopefully it wont be to long until that can be BA293 in a shiny new T7!
