Early morning KDFW arrival

Recommended Posts

Nice pictures! May I ask how many FPS you achieved in this scenario?

I fly locked at 30 and it was at that for most of the flight. Approach was very smooth. I don't feel the 777 is any worse on frames than the NGX. (and again we still have debugging stuff running that's slowing it down some too)

Quick question, i notice in the manuals it says something along the lines that the brakes perform better when they are heated up, is that why in a lot of videos ive watched they land with idle reverse?

Release Date? ...Anyone? :p0310:

Ryan i'd be curious to know what setting you have for the dawn texture. I also have REX OD but I can't figure out which texture setting is best. mine is way too red right now...

Looks very good! I hope that all testing is finally completed so that we can purchase this thing.

Here's what was in use when I took these shots.

Sunrise: Dawn Set: Atmospheric Dawn [OD]

Daytime: Day Set: Azure [OD]

Sunset: Dusk Set: Delicious [OD]

I wasn't actually flying with any weather engine on though because the main purpose of the test flight was VNAV performance and you want to eliminate variables to make sure the system works on its own before you start introducing variables like wind etc.  I think this was just the custom FSX weather with no wind and 40nm visibility set.

Ryan, those are some gorgeous shots, and as Luke said, in other words, you really get to see what magnificent plane it is!

As a biiiiiig fan of the triple, I'm almost in heaven! Thank you humbly for sharing these with us and to you all at PMDG, thank you for making this iconic aircraft! :-)
