August 7, 201312 yr Author Commercial Member As you said it, Tobias (what's your last name, BTW???): scenery/traffic reloads when back under 8x, but not as long as you keep acceleration up higher than 4x. I had it happen to me a couple of times today on a long flight from London to SFO, but certainly not often enough to be a nuisance or mess up the new time acceleration feature in anyway. The software takes it in it's stride. - Jane Whittaker
August 7, 201312 yr I just imagine coming home from the club at 5am with a girl and then ask her to take a nap for an hour because I have to land my plane after its long haul flight first. Guess it could be a mood-breaker. :Broken Heart: unless she is also an FSX fan and a member of the virtual mile high club! or unless you told her to be a pilot on a long haul flight and asked her to secure the cabin at home before landing Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

Reloading of scenery is inevitable when time acceleration is reduced before passing waypoints, but this FSX 'trait' is new to me. What happened to AVSIM

August 7, 201312 yr You know, I think this is one of the best new features to be introduced within FSX. PMDG has raised the bar again! If anyone else is like me, I enjoy flights that are 1 – 2 hours in length. I really try and fly to airports with good sceneries that are close enough (distance wise). When I want to try a long-haul, I always have to schedule time within the month to allocate 8 – 10 hour day for the flight itself. This is usually due to the fact that I would like to get more use out of my add-on airports but I don’t usually get the chance to. This feature is a fantastic idea and is great for everyone. We can enjoy a CYVR – EGLL in a couple hours! I can’t wait! B) Cheers, Sante Sottile
August 7, 201312 yr If only we had this in a real 777  . After living in Dubai for 4 years the 22 hour total time of flying between Dubai and Texas was not all that great. I'm glad to see this feature though for the most part i only have 5 hours max a day. Jordan Ridener
August 7, 201312 yr Thank you for opening up the far destinations that were "unavailable" for us that allocate max 2-3 hours for this hobby. Now I may experience airports outside of Europe Aleks
August 7, 201312 yr for what it's worth, I am very excited about this feature as it will allow me to explore new routes with the little time that I have available. great idea to implement this, now if you would please release already  Denis Kosbeck KPHX
August 7, 201312 yr Can't wait to see what happens when people start turning this on while connected to Vatsim  Jake Thomas - KLAX
August 8, 201312 yr Can't wait to see what happens when people start turning this on while connected to Vatsim :Whistle:if your flying on vatsim, then you shouldn't be using time acceleration anyway. August 8, 201312 yr Is it still a longhaul flight if you do a 10h flight in 2h? The whole feeling of long haul is gone. The whole feeling of success after landing (like: "YES!! I did it man!")is gone. I don't get the point, honestly..
