PMDG 777 VIDEO - VHHH Departure

Sorry Luke, I wasn't judging. I'm a stickler for flying skills though and.......well, I don't think you are going to fly seriously so don't take what I say too seriously. But if you are aiming for an airline position sometime in the future, I would take airmanship very seriously. That is unless you don't mind working for Asiana.

You should in fact be delighted I dare say something to you. It is almost like free tuition. But if it's not welcome I'll hold onto my wisdom for someone who wants to soak it up like a sponge.

Enjoy your flight on your PA28.

Wow....really!.... Anyway, Luke how are you? Keep up the good work. Some people will never get it. DON'T waste time responding. Take care.

Really. And that is why accidents happen, because people trust others or systems too much. Oh well. For you younger guys out there that think I don't know what I'm talking about, ask Ro, the regular Aer Lingus Pilot that resides on Avsim. He always errs on the safe side.

I thought that was gear up, positive rate, rotate?

Best regards,

Robin.

Hahaha lol

True, but do you know how the system works in the 777? I don't know if they did it the way I'm thinking, but there would be a VERY easy way to make the system idiot-proof, without ever having to take a look at the flight surfaces page.

Listen, I see you're personality types daily. You assume to because you have a certain skillset/knowledge of a particular area that somehow you're the only one that could ever possess it. That simple thinking and completely arrogant. Assume what you most....It really doesn't matter. I just hope everyone else would ignore you as well.

Good day!

Way too much Testosterone floating about in here.

Why do so many posting here have to be so aggressive & argumentative ?

No wonder so few females get into Flight Sim.

Yup, it's funny how these forums get congested with all these little pissing matches, gets annoying real quick  -_-

Thanks Luke - we're still not finished - some further new cool features are incoming .......

I do NOT like the sound of that. Three weeks ago - yes - NOT today.

Unless you work really, really fast.

Why not? Isn't it great that PMDG is working so hard on this, to make the T7 better and better? For me it is great.

I think Kyle is taking up this procedure in the DA42 too

Taking a break from the real world stuff to sort out some life stuff, but yep!  The Diamond (40, btw) is a bit different to check the controls though.  Don't have the nice Cessna rear windows to check the rudder deflection (though not too different from your Piper).  The rudder is big enough to see at full left from my side, though.

...and even I'm appalled at my general lack or procedure in the 777 sometimes.  If it's not a full flight from point to point and I'm just checking it against the update list to verify, I'll load on a runway, kill some weight, kill some fuel, firewall and check some stuff in a 4000+ fpm climb without the AP on.

The first time I look back at the PFD is when I get the ALT ALERT at the default set 10,000' in the MCP.

"Oh hey...I guess I should throw the AP on."

AP, V/S in the negative to get back to 10, HDG SEL and turn limit to the minimum to do some big sweeping circles around the origin.

Part of the reason I don't do videos is so that I don't have the peanut gallery saying "you shouldn't [blah blah blah]."  There was some comment on Froogle's video that you shouldn't do 25+ pitch on takeoff...

First - testing and enjoying the power: pitch to whatever keeps you at V2+10 until on profile to accel.  Plus, pitch doesn't matter - AoA does.

Second - normal cases: duh

Heck, I even got some trash from some internet scholar for taking my hands off of the controls at the end of this video: http://contour.com/stories/jyo-landing-250713

Yeah, because I'm steering with my hands...

(You know you missed 'em...)

Welcome back, Kyle! I see everything is going smoothly with the beta, as you're coming back to your slightly less soft self
